2022 MLB Power Rankings Betting Analysis Heading Into Week 6

Now that we’re nearly a quarter of the way through the Major League Baseball season, we’re starting to see which teams will be contenders and which ones will be pretenders.

With an expanded playoff system this season, more teams will have a shot at making the postseason, so we may not see as many sellers near the trade deadline as we have in the past.

Let’s take a look at some of the top teams in this week’s power rankings so you can continue betting against the MLB Odds.

2022 Power Rankings for Week 6 | MLB Betting

The Bronx Bombers

  1. New York Yankees

The Yankees are sitting atop the loaded American League East. Aaron Judge has 12 home runs, and Giancarlo Stanton has 10, and the team has a total of 49.

Combine those two with a starting pitching staff that has been better than expected, and the Yankees are cruising. As long as injuries don’t cause issues, this will be a team to be reckoned with.

Hollywood Heroes

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers

Quite possibly the most talented team in baseball, the Dodgers haven’t even hit their stride yet, and they’re still atop the National League West.

They have scored the most runs in baseball, and that’s with a struggling Max Muncy.

Their starting staff has been tremendous as well. Clayton Kershaw just hit the injured list, so we’ll see if that hurts Los Angeles or if they’ll just plug in another one of their top pitching prospects.

Could we see another Subway Series?

  1. New York Mets

Steve Cohen made a lot of moves in the offseason, and as of now, they seem to be paying off.

The Mets hitters have been finding ways to get on base and score. The pitching staff has come together nicely. If they could ever get Jacob deGrom back…

Another L.A. Team up top?

  1. Los Angeles Angels

This could finally be the year that we see Mike Trout in the playoffs. Taylor Ward has been a huge surprise for the Halos. Between him, Trout, and Shohei Ohtani, the Angels have put together quite the lineup.

Even though they’re not big names, the Angels starters have put together some impressive numbers. Hopefully, Ohtani can stay healthy.

Houston, We Don’t Have a Problem

  1. Houston Astros

Although their 11-game winning streak was snapped this weekend, the Astros are showing everyone that even without Carlos Correa, they’re still a very good team.

The pitching staff hasn’t allowed more than three runs over the last two weeks.

If they can continue to get this sort of production in the American League, the Astros will be a team that nobody wants to see in the playoffs.

Brewin’ Up Something Good

  1. Milwaukee Brewers

Don’t look now, but Christian Yelich seems to be rounding back into his MVP form.

If he can keep producing, the rest of the Brewers lineup will benefit greatly. Milwaukee has an underrated starting staff that nobody talks about.

And we also can’t forget how good the back half of their bullpen is. This team just quietly goes about their business, but people should be paying attention to how good they truly are.
