It’s a fun week to be a baseball fan, as we have a ton of great inter-league MLB picks and match-ups on tap, as well as a few divisional games. Most of the games on the calendar have some level of playoff importance, which makes choosing which games to wager on that much tougher. On the other hand, make sure to take a look at our current betting odds for this week’s MLB games. Wednesday sees the Pirates and Brewers square off in a divisional battle, with Milwaukee still in the division title hunt. The Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners have work to do if they want to be part of the playoff picture, while one of the best inter-league match-ups sees the Cardinals head in to Boston to tackle the Red Sox and the green monster in Fenway Park.

They had won 7 of 9 before dropping back to back games against the Blue Jays to end the week. If they are to pull off the division upset, they are going to need to improve on their 26-34 road record, starting this week. It will be Gerrit Cole (10-8, 3.96 ERA) who will start this one. Everyone keeps waiting for the Brewers to slip away and fall out of contention, but they are proving to be a resilient bunch, and are still just 2.5 games out of the division lead. They finished the weekend on a high, winning back to back games to bring an end to a 6-game losing skid. The downside here is that the Brewers are just 3-8 versus the Pirates this season, and suffered a 4-game sweep in the last meeting. Jimmy Nelson (9-6, 3.72 ERA) will be on the mound for the Brewers. MLB Series You Shouldn’t Miss This Week – August 15th

Baltimore Orioles (59-60) Vs Seattle Mariners (59-61)

Baltimore have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games, pulling themselves to within 2 games of the final spot. This is a team that has been good at home, but which has struggled badly on the road with a 24-37 record. They do have a winning record, albeit only just against the West at 11-10. Baltimore will send Ubaldo Jimenez (5-7, 6.25 ERA) to start this game. The Mariners are also in the Wild Card hunt, and sit just a half game back of the Orioles, so you can see how important this series is to both teams. The Mariners are on the slide, though, and have lost 5 straight games, including the first one in this series. They are now just 8-13 against teams from the East, but need to find a way to quickly turn that around in the remainder of this series. Marco Gonzales (0-0, 8.49 ERA) will start. St. Louis Cardinals (61-57) Vs Boston Red Sox (67-51)

When: Wednesday, August 16 at 7:10 PM EST Where: Fenway Park, Boston TV: MLBN Probable Pitchers: Lance Lynn Vs Eduardo Rodriguez GAMETIME WEATHER Partly Cloudy 25°C/77°F Humidity 43% Precipitation % 0% Cloud Cover 40% Wind 10 mph NW Stadium Type Open Analysis: If the Chicago Cubs are going to have to fight off just one team to win the division down the stretch, it looks as though it might be the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are on a tear, going 8-2 in their last 10 games to pull within a game and a half of the division lead. St. Louis have had their ups and downs in interleague play this season, going 7-8 to this point. It will be Lance Lynn (10-6, 3.12 ERA) who gets the ball for this one. The Red Sox have opened up a 4.5-game lead at the top of the AL East, and having won 8 of their last 10 games, they are looking like a team that is going to be tough to beat. They have been strong at Fenway, going 36-21, and have also performed well in interleague play, posting an 11-4 record so far this season.
