Albuquerque Native Fuller Looks to Capture Title

Jail “The Gentleman” Fuller (7-2) has been one of the young MMA stars on the rise in the Octagon. After making his MMA debut at LFA 58, the 30-year-old has won six of his seven LFA fights via KO or Submission. One of the top finishers in the division, Fuller has finished his opponents in the first round four times.

He started his career at the start of 2019 and is now one of the most seasoned fighters in Duke City MMA, watching his career adapt and develop over the last four years. A true homegrown talent, Fuller has a plethora of experience, seeing eight of his nine fights fought in the Legacy Fighting Alliance.

In Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Friday night, Fuller will make the journey to the ring in an attempt to return to his hometown of Albuquerque with the welterweight title of the Legacy Fighting Alliance.

Waters Hopes to Avenge Latest Loss

The native of Jacksonville, Florida made his LFA debut in Denver, Colorado at LFA 133 and defeated Benjamin Bennett in a matchup of unbeaten prospects to record one of the biggest knockouts of the year. With the victory, he improved his record to 6-0 and qualified for Season 6 of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Although he was unable to earn a UFC contract, the experience at one of the highest levels makes “The Truth” one of the most dangerous fighters in LFA. Since making the transition to the professional level, Waters has been using a combination of ground-and-pound strikes and submissions to finish opponents. The towering 6’5 fighter should have a huge advantage on the feet, where he has five finishes in his six total victories.

In the expectation that it will put him back on the UFC president’s radar, Waters is attempting to bounce back in the LFA 156 main event and capture the vacant Welterweight Title.

Prediction

Whether you’re a seasoned MMA fan or a newcomer to the sport, this event has something for everyone, and it’s sure to go down as one of the most thrilling nights in LFA history. With an electrifying display of raw talent and fierce competitiveness, expect this fight to feature either a KO or submission.

Both of these fighters are massive in size and have a skillset and dedication to leave the ring with their hand raised. Waters should have the advantage in this one as he has a three-inch height advantage in addition to being recognized by the UFC as one of the top up-and-coming fighters in MMA.

Regardless, hold on to your seats, folks, because the Legacy Fighting Alliance 156 should be one of the most exciting events of the year.
