If you’re looking for an early start to the MMA action this weekend, look no further than the ONE Championship, as their Bad Blood event will be starting at 5 AM EST on Friday morning. There are 5 fights on the main card, one of which is a Muay Thai bout, so a little something for everyone in this event. Perhaps best of all, the Bad Blood main card includes a title fight, so this really is a quality event that is worth getting out of bed early for. That said, it could have been better yet had the headline event, the Featherweight Championship, not been canceled due to one of the fighters testing positive for COVID. Let’s break down all 5 fights and see if we can come up with some winning predictions so you can bet against their ONE Championship odds.
MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship: Bad Blood
Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke vs. Danial Williams
The main card begins with a Flyweight bout featuring fighters with a bit of an experience gap. Amnauysirichoke comes in with a 12-6 career mark, while staring at the end of his career now that he is 43 years old. Williams in a relative newbie, going 3-1 in his first 4 fights as a pro, including wins in each of his last 2. I’m leaning towards experience here and taking Amnauysirichoke for the KO win.
Rui Chen Vs Mark Abelardo
This Featherweight bout is important for both fighters, as both need a win to break out of a slump. Chen is 10-3 overall, and while that is not awful, those 3 losses have come in his last 5 fights, including each of the last 2. Abelardo comes into this one on the heels of a win, but he has also lot 3 of his last 5 to fall to 20-8. I am on Abelardo to make it 2 wins in a row.
Yosuke Saruta Vs Gustavo Balart
The Flyweights step into the octagon next, with both of these fighters struggling with consistency. Saruta is an impressive 21-10-3, but he has been up and down of late, going 3-2 in his last 5 fights. Balart is 9-4 overall and snapped out of a 3-fight losing skid with a win last time out. I think we see this one go the distance, with Saruta getting the win.
Johnathan Haggerty Vs Mongkolpetch Petchyindee
Before we get to the title fight at the top of the main card, we break things up a little with a Muay Thai bout. Haggerty has had 4 fights as a pro, all under the ONE banner, posting a 2-2 record in the process. Petchyindee is 3-1, but all 3 of his wins coming with ONE, while the loss was elsewhere. Slight nod to Petchyindee here.
Anatoly Malykhin Vs Kirill Grishenko
The co-main event of the night is for the interim Heavyweight Championship, with both fighters coming in with unblemished records. Malykhin is 10-0 and has made things look easy of late, winning is last 3 fights in the opening round. Grishenko is 5-0, and he too has made a habit of getting the job done early. This should be a good one, but I have Malykhin by KO.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
