ONE Championship: NextGen 3 Betting Analysis & Predictions

It’s an early start to the MMA action for the weekend, with the ONE Championship set to have the NextGen 3 event on Friday morning at 8:30 AM EST. This is a different event from what you might be used to, which makes it all the more interesting. There are a total of 6 fights on the main card, with a mixture of MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai bouts. This one is available as a PPV event, but if you don’t fancy getting up early, you can watch a recorded version on YouTube later in the day. Let’s take a moment to break down the 6 fights on the main card so you can get all set to place your bets against their ONE Championship odds.

MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship: NextGen 3

Felipe Lobo Vs Rodlek Jaotalaytong

The evening begins with a Featherweight kickboxing bout that is not particularly easy to handicap. Lobo comes into this one with just one professional fight under his belt, but that one was a loss in a Muay Thai bout. Jaotalaytong has a good deal more experience, but his past bouts have all been Muay Thai. He has gone 5-2 in his 7 pro fights. I think experience gets Jaotalaytong the win in this one.

Pieter Buist Vs Ruslan Emilbek

Next up, we move to an MMA bout, with this one coming in the Welterweight division, with both fighters coming into this one on the heels of a loss. Buist is 17-5 overall, with the loss in his previous fight bringing an 8-fight win streak to an end. Emilbek lost the first fight of his pro career, as well as the last one, but in between, he won 12 in a row. I like this one to go the distance, with Buist coming away with the decision.

Panpayak Jitmuangnon Vs Daniel Puertas

We go back to kickboxing for the next bout, which falls in the Bantamweight division. Jitmuangnon is 2-1 in his pro career, but only 1 of those fights was in kickboxing. He picked up the unanimous decision in that one. Puertas will be hoping to do much better than he did in his lone pro kickboxing bout, where he was knocked out in the opening round. I think it will be Jitmuangnon who gets the win in this one.

Alex Silva Vs Rene Catalan

We continue jumping around the fighting styles with another MMA bout, this time in the Flyweight division. Silva comes into this one at 10-6 and on the heels of a win, which came after losing back-to-back fights before that. Catalan is in dire need of a win after losing his last 2 to fall to 6-4 overall. This looks like a lock for Silva, who I like by submission.

Alaverdi Ramazanov Vs Pongsiri PK Saenchai

This Lightweight Muay Thai bout is in as the co-main event of the night. Ramazanov has a 2-2 professional mark, but he is just 1-1 in Muay Thai bouts, winning in the opening round in his last one. Saenchi comes into this one on the heels of a win, snapping a 3-fight losing skid in the process. He is 2-2 in Muay Thai bouts, and I think he wins this one.

Lito Adiwang Vs Jarred Brooks

We close out the night with an MMA Flyweight bout between a couple of very good fighters. Adiwang is 13-3 and winner of 4 of his last 5 fights. He has quite a few KO wins under his belt throughout his career. Brooks comes in with a 16-2 career mark, going unbeaten in his last 4, although one was a No Contest. Going with Brooks by decision here.
