PFL Challenger Series: Week 2 Betting Picks & Analysis for this Week’s Fights

We are all well aware that the UFC is where the elite MMA fighters go to do business, but have you ever wondered how those men and women go to that point? There are several different path to the top, and while some fighters get there quite quickly, others need to start at the bottom and work their way up. One path is through the PFL, which very often serves as a feeder organization for the UFC. The PFL goes every year, with big prizes in each weight class, but the PFL Challenger Series is the way into that organization. Fans and celebrities what the fights in the Challenger Series and decide who gets in, so these battles are huge. This week, it will be the Featherweight women getting their shot, with 4 fights on the card, so let’s check them all out and you can then bet on the PFL Betting Odds.

MMA Betting Preview and Picks for the 2023 PFL Week 2 Bouts

Michelle Montague Vs Shaquita Amador Woods

Very often in these events, we get a lot of fighters who are still in the very early stages of life as a pro, which is exactly what we are getting here. Montague is 2-0 as a pro and has some experience in this competition, winning in the PFL Challenger Series last year. Woods is brand new to the pro game, with this being her first fight, so she might be up against it a little in this one. I think it will be Montague with the submission win.

Karolina Sobek Vs Senna van der Veerdonk

We have a bit more experience on show with the second fight on the card, although not by much. Sobek is off to a perfect start as a pro, going 4-0 to get her career rolling. She has not yet had to go the distance in any of her fights. Things have not been quite so smooth for Veerdonk, as she has tasted defeat on her way to a 3-1 record. This looks to be another win for Sobek, who I think will take it via submission.

Jeslen Mishelle Vs Evelyn Martins

There is a rather large 14-year age gap between these two fighters, yet despite that difference, they both have the same record as a pro. After an undefeated run as an amateur, Mishelle made the move to pro and has won both of her fights to this point. Martins is the younger of the two and she has had to go the distance in both fights to get to 2-0. I think this one goes all the way, too, with Mishelle getting the nod.

Amanda Leve Vs Naranjargal Tsendayush

The main event of the night looks to be as evenly matched as it gets, so expect a good one here. Leve has only had one fight as a pro, but she made it look easy, getting the win in a little over 4 minutes of the opening round. Tsendayush has won both of her previous fights as a pro and has not had to go beyond Round 1 to get those wins. This should be a real battle, but I am on Tsendayush for the win.
