2022 PFL Regular Season Featherweights & Heavyweights Odds and Picks

2022 PFL Regular Season: Featherweights & Heavyweights Odds and Picks

If you haven’t yet tuned into the PFL, then you are missing out on a unique MMA experience. This organization is set up into a regular season and playoff format, at the end of which a champion will be crowned in each weight class. While wins and losses are important in the regular season, the manner of victory is also huge. A fighter automatically gets 3 points for picking up a win, but there are bonus points to be won depending on when the fight is finished. For example, a fighter winning in the first round gets 3 points for the win and an additional 3 points for getting the job done in Round 1. Those extra points are often the difference between making the playoffs and missing out. We are heading into Week 5, with the Featherweights and Heavyweights features, so let’s break down the fights along with their PFL Betting Odds.

MMA Betting Preview for Professional Fighter’s League: Featherweights & Heavyweights

Denis Goltsov (-600) Vs Maurice Greene (+450)

We get things started with the Heavyweights, with Goltsov looking to go 2-0. He took maximum points from his opening PFL fight, winning that one in the first round. This is the first fight of the regular season for Greene, who is 10-6 overall and winner of just 2 of his last 5. I think we see Goltsov punch his ticket into the playoffs with a KO win.

Bubba Jenkins (-260) Vs Reinaldo Ekson (+210)

It’s the Featherweights up next, with Jenkins looking to go 2 for 2 in the regular season. He got the decision last time out to go to 17-5 overall and has won 4 of his last 5. This is the first fight for Ekson this season, but he is on a fine run of form, winning 4 in a row ahead of this one. I think we see this one go the distance, with Jenkins getting the nod.

Ante Delija (-640) Vs Shelton Graves (+470)

It’s back to the Heavyweight and another fighter looking to win and make the playoffs. That would be Delija, who won his opening fight and picked up 5 points in the process. He will face Graves, who is fighting for the first time this season, and who comes in on the heels of back-to-back losses. I think we will have an early KO win for Delija.

Chris Wade (-495) Vs Kyle Bochniak (+370)

There is a little bit of desperation sure to be in this Featherweight fight, as Bochniak comes into it after losing his opening fight in this competition. That loss snapped a 3-fight win streak. Wade got the win in his first fight, but just 3 points as it was a decision win. I think he makes it 2-0 here, punching his ticket into the playoffs.

Renan Ferreira (-490) Vs Klidson Abreu (+365)

We have another Heavyweight bout up next and a pair of fighters in very different runs of form. Ferreira is 4-0-1 in his last 5 and picked up maximum points in his first fight of the season. Abreu is 2-2-1 in his last 5, but he did get the decision win in his opening fight of the season. I don’t see him having similar success in this one.

Bruno Cappelozza (-570) Vs Matheus Scheffel (+420)

We close out the night with a Heavyweight bout that features the defending champion. Cappelozza won the PFL last season and is off to a winning start this year, picking up 5 points from his opening fight. Scheffel is in trouble after losing his first fight and will likely be eliminate when he loses this one, too. I like Cappelozza for the early KO.
