NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race Phoenix Odds Favorites & Betting Analysis

Written by on November 3, 2022

The NASCAR playoffs are always exciting and fun to watch but given that only 4 drivers can make it to the final race with a chance to win it all, there are always going to be some surprise cuts. The biggest surprise of the season probably came when AJ Allmendinger failed to make it beyond the Round of 8, as he was the pick of many bettors to go on and become the champion. He may be out, but we have 4 drivers who are alive and well and ready to race for the Xfinity Series Championship. I have a definite NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting pick in mind here, so let’s take a closer look at the 4 drivers who will be heading to Phoenix this Saturday to take part in the Xfinity Series Championship race.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for the 2022 Championship Race at Phoenix

Noah Gragson

It has been a fantastic season for Gragson, especially in the playoffs, where he has raised his game to be a deserving member of the final 4. Gragson has 5 wins in the last 9 races, including a run that saw him win 4 in a row at one point. If there is any concern here, it is that Gragson had a poor showing at Phoenix last season, finishing 12th in that one, but that could be considered an aberration given that he finished 2nd in Phoenix the year prior. I am putting all of that aside and simply focusing on how hot Gragson has been of late, which is why I am picking him to finish as champion.

Ty Gibbs

Heading into the final race of the year, Gibbs is up there among the most successful drivers this season, with 6 wins already under his belt. We all thought that he would make it into the final 4, but he made absolutely sure of getting in by winning the final race in the Round of 8 last weekend. He has now been on the podium in 3 of the last 4 races, and while a repeat of those performances might be enough to get him the crown, I think one of the top 4 will take the checkered flag, and while I think Gibbs we be in the hunt, I see him coming up short.

Josh Berry

You can’t ask for a much better first full season in the Xfinity Series than what Berry has delivered this season. There are some who will think that Berry is just happy to be here, but you can bet that he will be heading to Phoenix believing that he can end the season as the new Xfinity Series Champion. He has 2 wins on the season, a lot less than some of the other guys, and his lack of experience on the Phoenix track might well come into play.

Justin Allgaier

Will this be the year when Allgaier finally gets over the hump and wins his first Xfinity Series Championship? It’s hard to argue that he doesn’t deserve the win, as he has been one of the most consistent drivers for years now. Since starting in the Xfinity Series in 2009, Allgaier has made it to the top 4 no less than 7 times, but he has failed to take that final step. Unfortunately, I think we are looking at more of the same this season.
