After six grueling months, we’re finally nearing the end of the NBA regular season. In looking at this week’s schedule, there are a lot of teams that can change spots in the playoff standings. Two teams that will meet on Friday night both have the chance to move spots, as the Miami Heat will host the Atlanta Hawks at FTX Arena. That being said, let’s see how the Hawks and the Heat stack up against each other so you can make your bets against their NBA Odds.

Atlanta Hawks versus Miami Heat Analysis, Prediction and Pick
These two teams hold the top two spots in the Southeast Division, and both are in the playoffs. The Heat are currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference standings. They only have two games left on their schedule, while the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks have three left. This is significant because the Heat could end up in third place if they were to lose both of their games, and either Boston, Milwaukee, or both win all three of their remaining games.
As for the Atlanta Hawks, they’re currently sitting in the ninth spot and will play in the play-in tournament. The Hawks could move up to 7th, or they could fall to the 10th spot. As of this writing, they’re tied with the Brooklyn Nets. If the season were to end today, they would play Charlotte in the #9 vs. #10 game, where the loser would go home for the season.
The Hawks have played well as of late, going 7-3 in their last 10 games. Trae Young is once again leading the Hawks in scoring at just over 28 points per game. Young has a penchant for stepping up in big games, so we’ll see if he continues to do that in this one. Even though Atlanta has lost some key players to injury this season, they’re still very dangerous and are a team that nobody wants to see in their draw.
The Miami Heat have had some internal issues lately, but they’ve seemed to have gotten over them. After a spat during a time out between Udonis Haslem, Jimmy Butler, and head coach Erik Spoelstra, the Heat struggled for the next couple of games. But since then, they have gone on a five-game winning streak, and they’re gaining momentum heading into the playoffs. Unless they crash in their last two games, the Heat will head into the playoffs as the top seed.
Between Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Kyle Lowry, the Heat have a lot of playoff experience. With Tyler Herro coming off of the bench and scoring well, and PJ Tucker being the versatile player that the Heat need on both ends of the floor, the Heat are playoff-ready. The Heat are one of the top defensive teams in the league, and they’ll need to guard well if they want to make a long run. This team isn’t capable of beating teams in a shootout, so they’ll need to rely heavily on their defense.
Both teams desperately need a win in this one, so we’ll see the best from both of them. We’ll see if the Heat’s stellar defense can control the Hawks and their potent offense, or if Trae Young can once again have some big moments and carry the Hawks to a victory.
