NBA Championship Odds Update: Nets and Warriors Still Favorites to Win it All

There are some updated odds for the NBA Championship as we near the All-Star break. A few teams have better odds than they did before, while others have fallen back.

Of course, you still have the leaders like the Brooklyn Nets and the Golden State Warriors. However, some other teams are emerging as viable contenders for the NBA Finals.

Who are these teams, and what are the current odds? Don’t worry; we’ll answer all those questions and cover those who pose a threat. Each of these odds is the updated odds courtesy of MyBookie.

If you’re looking to place a wager on a team of your choosing, be sure to do it here: NBA Championship Betting Odds. You should also do it soon as the last day to place a wager is January 3rd.

Week 12: Updated NBA Championship Odds

Brooklyn Nets still lead the Eastern Conference odds

It likely doesn’t come as a surprise that the Brooklyn Nets still lead the Eastern Conference odds. Currently, they’re +234 to win the NBA Finals and are considered the most likely team to win.

However, there are some other teams in the conference that are rising in the NBA Finals’ odds. One of these teams is the Milwaukee Bucks, who are +640 to win the NBA Championship.

The Bucks are the reigning NBA Champions, so it makes sense that they have good odds. Another team is the Miami Heat, who are +1150 to win the NBA Championship.

Perhaps the most surprising to us is that the Chicago Bulls are still huge underdogs. Although they’re the No.1 team in the Eastern Conference, they only have +2400 odds to win the NBA Finals.

Golden State has the second-best odds in the NBA

The Warriors follow closely behind the Brooklyn Nets for the best odds. They’re currently +490 to win the NBA Finals, and for a good reason. They easily have one of the best offenses in the NBA, but they also have the defense to back it up.

The Phoenix Suns are slowly moving up in the rankings as well and are +650 to win the NBA Championship.

The Suns had an incredible season last year and are looking to cap it off with a title this season. However, we don’t see them being able to beat the Warriors in a seven-game series.

Another team to watch out for in the Western Conference is the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are +840 to win the NBA Finals but are the No.1 scoring offense in the NBA. They also average the most rebounds.

Teams you should avoid taking to win the NBA Finals

There are a few teams that we feel, regardless of odds, shouldn’t be on your ticket. One of these teams is the Los Angeles Lakers. We know that they have one of the best players to ever play the game, but they look awful right now. The Lakers are +1075 to win the NBA Championship, but we think it’s one of the riskiest bets available.

In the Eastern Conference, the team we would avoid taking is the Philadelphia 76ers. They’re +2300 to win the NBA Championship but don’t quite compare to the other teams.

One thing you also have to remember is that Philadelphia never does well in the playoffs. You’d be better off placing your wagers on one of the Eastern Conference teams we mentioned above.
