Updated division winner’s odds prior to the start of the 2022 NBA Season

The NBA season is about to begin, as there has been a ton of player movement this offseason that will have an impact on division races this upcoming season.

Let’s take a look at who has the best chance of winning for your NBA betting Odds.

NBA 2022 Season

Atlantic Division

There is a lot of competition in this division, as the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors all figure to be in the mix.

The Celtics and Nets are the likeliest to win the division, followed by the Sixers.

For the Celtics, we’ll have to see if they can replicate last season’s success under a new head coach since Ime Udoka has been suspended for the season and if Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can continue to take the next step.

For the Nets, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will have to prove that last season was just a mirage and that both of them can step up in big games while keeping distractions at an absolute minimum.

Central Division

This is really a two-team race between the Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers, with the Chicago Bulls a distant third.

The Cavs adding Donovan Mitchell to a team already featuring Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen makes them incredibly dangerous.

The Bucks will always be a threat to win a championship so long as they have Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way. If Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday stay healthy, this is likely the team to beat.

The Bulls will have a star duo of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine this upcoming season, as both will provide plenty of scoring.

Southeast Division

The Miami Heat will likely run away with this division, as year in and year out, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo prove to be such a lethal duo on both ends of the floor.

However, the Atlanta Hawks could sneak into the mix if Trae Young takes the next step and can help make all of his teammates better.

Pacific Division

The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers stand as the two likeliest teams to win this division.

For the Warriors, health will be key, especially for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole may also need to take the next step.

Kawhi Leonard will be returning alongside Paul George as well, which makes the Clippers dangerous.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be in the mix so long as LeBron James and Anthony Davis are there.

The Phoenix Suns are still lurking as well with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and crew.

Southwest Division

The Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, and New Orleans Pelicans will all be battling it out this season.

The Grizzlies have proven they can be successful with or without Ja Morant.

The Mavs could be getting an MVP type of season from Luka Doncic.

The Pelicans will have Zion Williamson back alongside Brandon Ingram.

Northwest Division

The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves will be battling this out.

Can Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert mesh together? Can Anthony Edwards take the next step?

Nikola Jokic will almost certainly still be an MVP type of player, but can Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. step in as co-stars off their respective injuries?
