In about a month, the NBA begins what promises to be another fantastic season. The Association has added a couple of interesting wrinkles to this year’s season, including games in Mexico City and Paris. There is also the first ever NBA Rivals Week. Key Dates for the 2022-2023 NBA Betting Season

When: Oct. 18, 2022 – June, 2023

Regular season starts on Tuesday, Oct. 18

On opening night, the Celtics host the Sixers and the Lakers travel to Golden State.

Boston traded for point guard Malcolm Brogdon, which is why the Cs will be big time favorites. Golden State is one of the chalks to win the NBA Finals. So Steph and his crew will be favorites over LeBron and his mates.

NBA Mexico City game on Dec. 17

The San Antonio Spurs take on the Miami Heat in Mexico City on Dec. 17. The game happens at the Arena de Ciudad in Mexico.

The game is on a Saturday. Tip off is scheduled for 5:00 pm ET. As the rosters stand right now, Jimmy Butler’s team should have no trouble beating the Spurs.

NBA Paris game on Jan. 19

On Thursday, Jan. 19, the Chicago Bulls battle the Detroit Pistons in France. The game tips at 3:00 pm ET.

The game happens at the Accor Arena. Heading into the season, we don’t know if Zach LaVine or Lonzo Ball will be healthy. Detroit could be a surprise team this season after drafting Jaden Ivey to start alongside Cade Cunningham. So the Bulls may lose this one.

NBA Rivals Week is Jan. 24 – Jan. 28

The first ever NBA Rivals Week takes place from Jan. 24 through Jan. 28. Top matchups include Celtics at Heat an Jan. 24 and Clippers and Lakers on Jan. 25.

Then on Thursday, Jan. 26, the Suns travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks. On Jan. 27, the Grizzlies take on the T’Wolves.

NBA Rivals Week finished on Jan. 28 when the greatest rivalry in basketball history takes place, Celtics versus Lakers.

The NBA All-Star Weekend happens from Feb. 17 through Feb. 19

This season’s NBA All-Star game happens on Feb. 19. The festivities take place at Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Like in the last few seasons, the Association, no doubt, will have an NBA All-Star draft.

April 9 is the final NBA Regular Season day

Teams finish their NBA Regular Seasons on April 9. Top matchups include Atlanta Hawks at Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets.

The most important contest could be Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns. Clippers and Suns could be for the top seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

NBA Play-in Tournament happens April 11 – April 14

Like since 2020, the NBA will run a play-in tournament. Teams likely to end up in the tournament include the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Sacramento Kings from the Western Conference.

Eastern Conference squads should include the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, and Washington Wizards.

NBA Playoffs begin on April 15

Playoffs begin on April 15. Like in 2021, expect a fantastic NBA Playoffs.

2023 NBA Finals start on June 1

The 2023 NBA Finals start on June 1. If there is a Game 7, it will happen on June 17.

Heading into the season, the favorites are the Boston Celtics at +510, the Golden State Warriors at +610, the Clippers at +670 and the Milwaukee Bucks at +680.
