NBA Week 12 Betting Picks & Predictions for this Weekend's Top Matches

NBA Week 12 Betting Picks & Predictions for this Weekend’s Top Matches

As we’re nearing the halfway point of the NBA season, we’re starting to get some clarity in the playoff races. We now have a fairly good idea of who is going to be the contenders and who will be playing out the season for a lottery selection.

In looking at this weekend’s slate of games, we have found a couple of games that we think can make you some money. We’ll preview those games and give you our NBA Betting analysis.

Who Should We Bet On this Weekend in the NBA?

New Orleans Pelicans @ Dallas Mavericks – Saturday Night

Heading into Thursday’s action, the Dallas Mavericks are now the hottest team in the league. Winners of seven straight, Dallas will be playing in a Saturday prime-time matchup, as they will host the New Orleans Pelicans.

In their recent rise up the standings, Dallas has climbed all the way to the fourth position in the Western Conference. The Pelicans are two games ahead of Dallas in third place.

One of the main storylines in this one will be the absence of Zion Williamson. Williamson had been playing well for New Orleans. However, a hamstring strain will sideline him for at least a month.

Many were looking forward to the matchup between Williamson and Luka Doncic. Doncic has been on a roll as of late. He’s one of the top scorers in the NBA, and he has been a huge part of the Mavericks’ recent success.

We will see a lot of points scored in this one, as even without Williamson, CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram can still put a lot of points on the board. New Orleans will have trouble slowing Doncic down, so look for a big night from him.

Dallas is 15-5 at home, while New Orleans is 7-10 on the road. Unless something happens to Doncic, the Mavericks should be favored by two-five points. If Doncic is on his game, we look for the Mavs to beat the Pelicans and cover the spread.

Utah Jazz @ Memphis Grizzlies – Sunday

The Utah Jazz had a surprising start to the season. After trading Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell for draft capital, many felt that the Jazz would be one of the worst teams in the league and would be playing for a prime draft lottery spot.

To start the season, the Jazz were quite good, but that has all come crashing down, as they have lost seven of their last ten and five in a row. They’re rapidly falling down the Western Conference standing.

The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the best teams in the league. Heading into Thursday night’s action, the Grizzlies have won four in a row and are tied for the top spot in the Western Conference Playoff standings.

Memphis will host the Jazz on Sunday afternoon. The Jazz, who are 7-14 away from Salt Lake City, will be facing one of the best home teams in the league, as Memphis is 15-3 at home.

With Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and company playing at an all-time level, Memphis is going to be very hard to beat at home. With the Jazz struggling and the Grizzlies surgeon, we look for Memphis to be heavy favorites in this one.

As long as Morant is playing, we should see a Grizzlies victory. Just monitor the spread closely to make sure that it hasn’t gotten too big for your liking.
