Why Bet on Oklahoma Sooners (28-7)

The Sooners, coming off a 77-63 rout of Texas A&M in the Sweet 16, will be feeling extremely confident of their chances to dispatch the Ducks this Saturday. Most important to note is that the impressive win over the Aggies saw Oklahoma easily cover the spread as 3-point favorites, bringing an end to a run of seven straight games without an ATS win for OU. ATS issues aside, the Sooners have been pretty good at winning games straight up, going 6-1 SU in their last 7 games (including the last three in a row) and if Buddy Hield and fellow guard Jordan Woodard can continue firing on all cylinders, OU should be in a pretty good shape to drown the Ducks.

Why Bet on Oregon Ducks (31-6)

This being the first ever meeting between the Ducks and the Sooners, it’s hard to tell how Oregon will perform this Saturday on a historical standpoint. But if we are to use the season thus far to handicap the Ducks, then Oregon fans should be pretty excited about this matchup. Not only are the Ducks coming off an 82-68 thrashing of the Duke Blue Devils on Thursday night, but this is an Oregon team that is brimming with the confidence of winning its last 11 straight games (11-0 SU), going 7-4 ATS in the process. Not to mention, the duo of Dillon Brooks and Elgin Cook has been quite consistent in terms of big performance in big games, so Oklahoma will be hard done in its quest to contain these versatile players.

Expert Predictions and NCAAB Picks

Hield and his Sooners can be very dangerous, especially when their three-point shots are falling, as we’ve seen all season. The problem, however, is that Oklahoma’s defense can be very porous. Even more worryingly, Oregon constitutes of tall-and-athletic defenders that are very good at perimeter defense, something that could cause all kinds of problems to Oklahoma’s shooters who are often very reliant on three ball. Added to the overall balance that has been clearly evident in Oregon’s offense and defense, I fancy the Ducks eking out a close win here.   NCAAB Picks: Oregon SU, Oregon ATS, Game Total: OVER 151 Final Score Prediction: Oregon 78, Oklahoma 75
