New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys (-1.5)
I don’t think I matters where these two Super Bowl hopefuls play, Drew Brees will be the best quarterback on the field. Right now, New Orleans is better in all three phases, unfortunately for Cowboys fans. Saints 31 Cowboys 24Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018
Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons (-3.5)
With both teams in this Week 13 matchup looking to take the next step in 2018, I like Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ improved defense to both, have their way against a Ravens team they’re now better than in both phases of the game in what I believe is going to be a Week 13 dismantling. Falcons 31 Ravens 21Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals (+1)
Who would you rather have as your starting quarterback? Houston’s Case Keenum or Cincinnati’s Andy Dalton? I’m going with Dalton and the Bengals at home! Bengals 27 Broncos 21Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions (+2)
How well will the Lions take to their new approaching under first-year head coach Matt Patricia against a now, dangerous Los Angeles Rams built to win – now. Rams get the win on the road. Los Angeles 28 Detroit 20Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers (-11)
I’m not expecting a whole lot out of the Arizona Cardinals as they rebuild a bit under first-year head coach Steve Wilks, but I know how difficult it is to beat the Green Bay Packers in cold weather on the Frozen Tundra that is Lambeau Field. Packers win but the Cards cover the spread as huge road dogs. Green Bay 31 Arizona 23Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (-1)
The Bills enter the 2018 preseason period still looking to identify their starting quarterback, whether that’s veteran A.J. McCarron or second-year QB, Nathan Peterman. The Miami Dolphins have their share of problems – and question marks at quarterback, where, Brock Osweiler is the backup. Still Miami is the pick to win this one simply because they’re at home and almost even with the Bills in talent and are playing at home in a divisional showdown. Dolphins 23 Bills 21Chicago Bears at New York Giants (-3.5)
Both of these NFC teams are in Year 1 of their respective rebuilds playing under a first-year head coach. I’m going with Eli Manning and the G-Men to win and cover the spread. Giants 28 Bears 24Los Angeles Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-4.5)
Led by their ‘Killa B’s’ I’m going with the Steelers to eke out the narrow win against what I believe will be a very good Chargers team led by veteran gunslinger Phillip Rivers in 2018. Steelers 28 Chargers 24Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1)
I don’t have any faith that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have much of a chance of improving on their underachieving 5-11 record last season. Even at home Jameis Winston and the Bucs fall to Cam Newton and a superior Carolina Panthers squad. Panthers 28 Buccaneers 20Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (-7.5)
It’s pretty stunning to see how much these two franchises have changed since the end of the 2016 season. The Colts were once almost perennial conference favorites, almost up until that point. The Jacksonville Jaguars were coming off anotherCleveland Browns at Houston Texans (-10)
Deshaun Watson shows the Cleveland Browns how they blew it with the 2017 top pick by lighting up Cleveland’s secondary while Houston’s defense keeps the Tyrod Taylor and Cleveland’s offense mostly in check. Texans 31 Browns 21
