NFL 2021 Season: Cardinals vs Cowboys Odds, Analysis & Prediction

The Dallas Cowboys (11-4) host the Arizona Cardinals (10-5) at AT&T Stadium for a potential glimpse of an NFC playoff matchup in Week 17.

Last week the Arizona Cardinals lost again at home when they fell to the Colts 22-16, while the Cowboys blew out the Washington Football team in primetime 56-14.

This could be a potential playoff matchup, and all eyes should be on two of the best teams in the NFL when the NFC foes Square off on Sunday. That being said, let’s see how these two teams stack up so you can get ready to make your bets against their NFL odds.

NFL Betting Preview for Arizona Cardinals at Dallas

Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview: Cardinals Seek Improvement After Second Half Struggles

The Arizona Cardinals are in the midst of a December swoon as they have lost three straight contests and haven’t won since December fifth. The Cards started off 7-0 and are fading down the stretch, particularly at home, where they are 3-4.

So what’s wrong with the Cardinals? The offense has struggled mightily, mustering just 17 points per game over their losing streak. Kyler Murray has been the biggest disappointment; after leading the league in completion percentage before his injury, Murray has struggled significantly, tossing three interceptions in his last three games.

The bright spot of the offense has been the running back duo of Chase Edmonds and James Connor, and Arizona should focus on the run against a Dallas defense, giving up almost 110 yards per game.

Defensively, Arizona struggled against the Colts in their last time out. The Cardinals conceded 346 yards and allowed eight of 15 conversions on third down. Despite giving up just 22 points, the unit has allowed almost 28 points per game over their three-game losing streak.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview: Cowboys Win NFC East, Face Another Big Test in Cardinals

The Dallas Cowboys come into this matchup as the NFC East champions after going 5-0 in the conference up to this point. The Cowboys are winners of four straight but will have one of their toughest tests when the Cardinals come to town.

Dallas completely dominated the Washington Football Team in their last contest, racing out to a 42-7 lead at halftime, and the offense totaled 56 points en route to a win.

Dak Prescott produced four touchdowns and over 300 yards passing, while Ezekiel Elliott chipped in a rushing touchdown at the half. Dallas owns the number one ranked offense and has averaged 32.8 points over their last five contests.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys have been on an absolute tear in the secondary, adding two more interceptions to their league-leading 23. Additionally, Dallas held Washington to 14 points on the night and added two blocked punts that were returned for touchdowns. Overall, the Cowboys have been one of the fiercest defenses in recent weeks, picking off ten balls in their last four games.

There’s no question; the Cowboys are the team to take in this one. Kliff Kingsbury’s group is known for fading away down the stretch, and the Cardinals haven’t been themselves losing their last three and are running into a red-hot Dallas team.

Additionally, the Cowboys are the best team against the spread this year, going 12-3 and are 4-0 ATS in their last four games. Dak Prescott broke his mini-slump, and the defense is playing light out. Expect more of the same on Sunday.

Betting Pick: Cowboys -3
