NFL 2021 Season: Giants at Chicago Bears Betting Prediction & Pick

NFL 2021 Season: Giants at Chicago Bears Betting Prediction & Pick

Cold and blustery Soldier Field will play host to a game between two teams that won’t be making the postseason this year, as the Chicago Bears will square off against the New York Giants. This season has been a bust for both teams. The Giants have had numerous injury issues throughout the season. Starting quarterback Daniel Jones is out for the season, running back Saquon Barkley has missed numerous games, and the Giants receiving corps hasn’t had their full unit at any point in the season.

As for the Chicago Bears, the Matt Nagy offense has been dismal again this season. Even though rookie quarterback Justin Fields has shown flashes of brilliance, the offense has never clicked. The Bears’ defense has had numerous injury issues throughout the season, and that has hindered them. When healthy, the Bears’ defense has been very strong. That being said, it’s time to check our NFL Betting analysis for the upcoming match between the Giants and Bears.

NFL Betting Preview for New York Giants vs Chicago Bears

NY Giants Betting Analysis

The Giants will start Jake Fromm under center on Sunday. After backup Mike Glennon was ineffective in his starts, the Giants turned to Fromm. He didn’t play really well last week, but at this point, he’s the Giants’ best option. Saquon Barkley will see some action, but he’ll be running behind a very mediocre Giants offensive line.

The Giants defense has had its fair share of injury issues as well. We’ll see how well they can play against a depleted Bears offense.

Chicago Bears Betting Analysis

After sneaking out of Seattle with a last-second victory last week, the Bears have received even more good news this week. Justin Fields and Andy Dalton have both been cleared to return, so we will see one of them under center against New York. The Bears’ offensive line is back to full strength, and Allen Robinson is back from the Covid list. The offense should be at full strength this week.

With nothing to play for, we’ll be interested to see if the Bears will put Justin Fields out on the field or if they’ll go with Andy Dalton. Either way, we don’t expect to see a lot of points put on the board by either squad.

Prediction

The Chicago Bears are the home favorite in this one. The oddsmakers have made them a 6.5-point favorite to beat the New York Giants. Neither team is really playing well at the moment, and both teams should make some significant changes this offseason.

Matt Nagy is on the hot seat in Chicago, but he has been there at the end of the last two seasons. Just when people think the Bears are ready to make a change, they reel off two or three straight wins. This is going to be the case this week, as the Bears will beat the Giants to win their second game in a row.

In a game that will look like a defensive battle, the Bears will win 24-17. It won’t really be a defensive battle, it will be two poor offenses battling it out. The Bears will win their second game in a row, and Matt Nagy will live to coach the Bears for at least one more week.
