Jacksonville vs Tennessee Odds, Pick & Prediction – NFL Week 14 Lines

On Sunday of Week 14, the Tennessee Titans (7-5) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8) in Nashville at Nissan Stadium. Both clubs are coming off of crushing road defeats to NFC opponents. The Detroit Lions destroyed the Jaguars 40-14, and the Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Titans 35-10 in embarrassing fashion.

The Titans are looking to increase their seed in the AFC playoffs with a comfy lead in the AFC South, while the Jaguars are hoping to overcome their slim prospects of making the playoffs. It’s time to take a closer look at both teams and how they arrive to this match so you can bet against their NFL Lines.

NFL Week 14 Betting Preview for Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee

Jacksonville Look to Get Back in the Win Column

The Jaguars enter this contest in third place in the AFC South following a 40-14 loss to the Detroit Lions. A Titans victory would put a stop to their chances of winning the division, even if they are still mathematically eligible. They will look to rebound from a cold streak that has seen them fail to cover six of their last nine games.

The offense has shown major inconsistencies, but they still rank 12th in the NFL in total offense averaging over 350 yards per game. Despite trading wins and losses, Trevor Lawrence has steadily improved, as he has a seven-to-zero touchdown ratio over his last four games. With some exciting young pieces in Christian Kirk and Travis Ettiene, the Jaguars still pose a threat to NFL teams.

The defensive side of the ball is a different story, however. In a defeat to the Lions on Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense gave up 40 points and a whopping 440 yards of total offense.

The defense is looking to make major improvements as they rank near the bottom of the league in total defense. The Jaguars‘ defense will face another challenging opponent in Derrick Henry and the Titans.

Titans Rushing Attack Struggles as Tennessee Looks to End Two-Game Skid

After two straight weeks of finding themselves in the losing column, the Tennessee Titans will try to turn things around against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The Titans have struggled as of late, failing to cover their last two contests.

The Titans’ rushing attack has struggled greatly, and that has been their biggest problem. Against the Eagles, star running back Derrick Henry only averaged 2.7 yards per run for a total of 30 rushing yards on his 11 attempts.

If Tennessee wants to advance far into the postseason, its star player needs to get back on track. Overall, the offensive unit is averaging just 291.3 yards of offense and 18.3 points per game.

The Titans’ defensive unit was completely destroyed in Week 13, giving up 453 total offensive yards and 35 points while failing to force a turnover and earning up two sacks in a 35-10 loss to the Eagles.

The Titans were gashed through the air the entire game as a result of the Eagles’ excellent offensive effort on Sunday. They should be in a good position to rebound, facing a Jaguars team that struggled to move the ball against the Lions.

Betting Odds and Lines

According to MyBookie, the Tennessee Titans enter this contest as -3.5 point spread favorites (-110). In terms of the moneyline, the Titans are the favorites to win at home with NFL odds of -190, while the Jaguars will be +160 road underdogs. As for the O/U, MyBookie lists the total at 42 points (-110).

Betting Pick

The Tennessee Titans are not far removed from ripping off an incredible 8-0 win streak against the spread. However, they have struggled mightily to move the football on the ground as teams have started to figure out the Titans’ overall game plan. The good news for the Titans is that they will have a chance to bounce back against a lowly Jaguars team.

Jacksonville had a tough time moving the ball against the league’s 31st-ranked defense last week. Additionally, the Jaguars will have to hit the road again, where they are just 1-5 straight up this year. Expect the Titans to get back on track and cover the spread here.

NFL Betting Pick: Tennessee Titans -3.5 (-110)
