NFL Playoffs: AFC Divisional Betting Predictions

NFL Playoffs: AFC Divisional Betting Predictions

Without Derrick Henry for much of the season and missing AJ Brown and Julio Jones for numerous games, who would have thought that the Tennessee Titans would hold the #1 seed in the AFC Playoffs?

Well, they made it happen, Henry should be ready to play in the divisional round, and Jones and Brown are ready to play. The AFC doesn’t have that one dominant team, but there are at least four teams that we could see having a legitimate shot at winning the AFC and heading on to Los Angeles to play in the Super Bowl.

Here are our predictions for the upcoming Divisional round so you can plan your bets against the AFC Divisional odds.

AFC Divisional Predictions after Wild Card Round | NFL Betting

(4) Cincinnati Bengals @ (1) Tennessee Titans

Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense was on fire heading into the playoffs. They ran into a Raiders team that had overcome a lot of adversity to barely sneak into the playoffs. The Raiders had some momentum heading in.

The Bengals had a tough time with the Raiders, but in the end, they walked away with a three-point victory and a chance to head to Tennessee to take on the Titans.

While the Titans’ defense has had some issues throughout the season, their toughness has gotten them to this point. Mike Vrabel has taken a team devoid of a lot of superstars, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and made it into a powerful unit.

The Titans‘ defense will have its hands full trying to stop Joe Burrow and his three-headed monster of wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd, and Tee Higgins. We can’t forget Joe Mixon running the ball, either.

However, the Cincinnati defense is also questionable at times. If Henry is truly back to 100%, they’ll have a very tough time slowing him down. If they focus on stopping Henry, Brown, and Jones could make Cincy pay.

Even though a lot of people don’t have faith in the Tennessee Titans and will want to pick the high-powered offense, we’re leaning towards Tennessee in this one.

(3) Buffalo Bills @ (2) Kansas City Chiefs

Buffalo earned a shot at the Chiefs with a hard-fought victory over the New England Patriots. A late Mac Jones interception by the Bills stopped a game-winning drive and helped the Bills move on to the next round. By moving on to the next round, the Bills earned a playoff rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs, as these two met in last season’s AFC title game.

Josh Allen is one of the most dynamic players in the league. He has the ability to take games over, and he can make plays with his arm and his legs. The Bills don’t have much of a running game to speak of, and that could lead to some issues for the Bills offense.

Speaking of issues, the Chiefs have been very inconsistent on the defensive side of the ball this season. Early in the season, they were awful on defense, they then made some adjustments and got better, and then towards the end of the season, they had some issues again. We’ll see which defense shows up for the playoffs.
