Buffalo beat Kansas City during the regular season matchup. KC, though, is the team that secured the 1-seed during the AFC Playoffs.

If this were to happen, Josh Allen and his buddies would have to travel to Kansas City. A battle between the top seeds with a chance to go to the Super Bowl would make for great football. Also, Allen versus Mahomes is a quarterback rivalry that’s approaching legendary status.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Philadelphia Eagles

If the 49ers were to face the Eagles, it would be a game between two of the top young up and coming quarterbacks. Jalen Hurts is an NFL MVP contender.

Brock Purdy took over for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo late in the season and has dominated. No doubt, Purdy is good enough to lead SF to a win over Philadelphia. The Eagles, though, have been the best team in the NFL from the first week.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Dallas Cowboys

San Francisco versus Dallas is one of the most important rivalries in the history of the NFL. We can go all the way back to 1981 when Joe Montana threw a game winning pass to Dwight Clark for evidence.

During the 1980s and early 1990s, it felt like the Boys and Niners were battling every season for the right to go to the Super Bowl. No doubt, this year’s NFC Championship between the 49ers and Cowboys would open the door to another decade of one of the top rivalries in the league.

Andy Reid versus his old team for a Super Bowl trophy would make for an excellent game. Not only that, but the best quarterback in the NFC, Hurts, against the top quarterback in the AFC, Mahomes, would also be thrilling.

The Cincinnati Bengals have lost two Super Bowls in the franchise’s history. Both losses came against the San Francisco 49ers.

A third matchup between Cincinnati and San Francisco would be great football. This is especially true because Cincinnati has the best quarterback that has played for them since Kenny Anderson back in the first Super Bowl try.
