NFL 2022 Preseason Week 1 Betting Analysis for Friday Night Matches

NFL 2022 Preseason Week 1 Betting Analysis for Friday Night Matches

Football fans can rejoice as their beloved sport makes its long-awaited return this week. This weekend kicks off the start of the preseason. On Friday night, we’ll see five preseason games being played. Let’s take a brief look at each one of them so you can get all set to make your bets against the NFL Preseason Odds.

Friday Night 2022 Preseason Action | NFL Betting Picks and Analysis

Atlanta Falcons @ Detroit Lions

The Falcons are going to have a very different look this season. For the first time in a long time, Matt Ryan won’t be under center for Atlanta. The veteran signal-caller was traded to Indianapolis in the offseason, signaling the start of the rebuild for the Falcons.

We will now see Marcus Mariota at quarterback for the Falcons. We’ll see how he and Kyle Pitts and rookie first-round pick Drake London can work together. We could also see Desmond Ridder take some reps at the quarterback position.

The big thing to watch for Detroit is how their first-rounder, Aidan Hutchinson, handles the grind of the NFL. Dan Campbell is looking to turn the Detroit Lions into winners, and he seems to have them going in the right direction.

Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Will we see Deshaun Watson on the field? Chances are that we won’t, but it will be interesting to see how the Browns handle the situation. If we don’t see Watson, we should see Jacoby Brissett and Josh Rosen handle a lot of the snaps.

As for the Jaguars, the Urban Meyer era had a quick lifespan, and now the Jags are under the supervision of former Super Bowl-winner Doug Pederson. We’ll see how much Trevor Lawrence improves under Pederson’s tutelage.

Arizona Cardinals @ Cincinnati Bengals

We probably won’t see Kyler Murray or Joe Burrow in this one, but both of these teams should be in contention for playoff spots this season. The Cardinals had a great start to the 2021 season but fizzled out at the end. Cincinnati will be looking to build off of their Super Bowl appearance.

The Bengals made numerous upgrades in the offseason, especially to their offensive line. If Burrow can stay healthy, the Bengals should have another great season.

New York Jets @ Philadelphia Eagles

This one will be all about the quarterbacks. Many people still doubt that Jalen Hurts has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. The Eagles believe in him and have built a nice team around him. We’ll see how many snaps he gets in this one.

As for the Jets, last year’s first-rounder, Zach Wilson, is still struggling to grasp the speed of the NFL game. It has been rumored that he hasn’t looked good in camp thus far, so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do against another team. We should see a lot of Joe Flacco in this one, as he’s said to have been having a great camp so far.

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers

Let the Trey Lance era begin for the Niners. Lance Will be their starting quarterback this season, and all eyes will be on him. We should get the chance to see him in action on Friday night.

On the other side of the field, we don’t have to tell you about Aaron Rodgers. He knows that his time to win a Super Bowl is running out, and he needs to get it done sooner rather than later.
