Arizona vs Kansas City
- Week 1 – Sunday, Sep. 11
Many believe Mahomes versus Murray will be epic. We’re here to squash those ideas. Kyler Murray isn’t as effective as Patrick Mahomes.
Also, KC is a Super Bowl caliber team. Arizona isn’t. The Chiefs win and cover.
Arizona at Las Vegas
- Week 2 – Sunday, Sep. 18
Vegas could go off at overlay odds. The Raiders will be better than many believe. Derek Carr and Davante Adams played together at Fresno State and Josh McDaniels is one of the most creative play-callers in the NFL. Las Vegas might offer a decent enough moneyline to warrant a look.
Arizona vs L.A. Rams
- Week 3 – Sunday, Sep. 25
After the initial victory over the Rams, Zona fell apart. Los Angles blasted AZ in the second game and the playoff contest. The key will be how Murray handles the Rams’ pass rush. The guess is that he doesn’t fair well. Right now, the Rams get the edge.
Arizona vs Philadelphia
- Week 5 – Sunday, Oct. 9
Sounds crazy, but by week 5, Arizona could be in a must win situation. Beating Philadelphia won’t be easy. But, again, this could be a must win situation. So Arizona figures to beat the Eagles and cover.
Arizona vs New Orleans
- Week 7 – Thursday, Oct. 20
Unless Arizona completely imploded, they will be the favorite when they take on the New Orleans Saints in this Thursday night matchup.
New Orleans defense should have no trouble containing Murray. Arizona’s defense could have trouble versus Jameis Winston, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara. The Saints moneyline is the play.
Arizona at L.A. Rams
- Week 10 – Sunday, Nov. 13
The Rams should cover. Los Angeles beat Arizona 34-11 in the last head-to-head. A similar score is possible. Unless the spread is out of control, back the Rams.
Arizona vs Tampa Bay
- Week 16 – Sunday, Dec. 25
Because this is a road game for the Buccaneers, Tampa figures to go off no better than a -3 to -4 ½ favorite. At those odds, Tampa is the play unless the Bucs have imploded during the season.
Three weeks left is too soon for Brady and the Bucs to be thinking playoffs. So Tampa will send their starter to the field. Don’t expect Arizona’s defense to put up much of a fight.
Arizona at San Francisco
- Week 18 – Sunday, Jan. 8
AZ could either be playing for a wildcard or planning their offseason. The 49ers should be playing to win the NFC West or a wildcard. Because SF is likely to have much more at stake and play this game at home, the Niners figure to win and cover.
