NFL Week 12 Over/Under Betting Trends for the Weekend

NFL Week 12 Over/Under Betting Trends for the Weekend

What a difference a season can make in the NFL. The two teams – LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals – that made it to the Super Bowl last season would be out of the playoffs if the regular season ended today. While it does look like the Rams are now out of playoff contention, the Bengals are still in the hunt in the AFC. There is still a lot of football to be played, and given how things have gone this season, I think we are looking at some more changes in the playoff standings before the regular season is all done with. Week 12 is now upon us and there are a lit of big games on the schedule, including a trio of matchups on Thursday. We are covering as much of the action as possible, but for this NFL Betting piece, let’s focus on our O/U picks for NFL Week 12.

O/U Picks for This Week’s NFL Games | Week 12 Betting Analysis

NY Giants at Dallas Cowboys – OVER 45

If the season ended today, both of these teams would be in the playoffs, with the Giants certainly considered something of a surprise. The goal here, though, is to win the division, which has become incredibly tight. It’s fair to suggest that even with 7 wins, the loser of this one might have a tough battle on their hands to get to the top spot in the East. It was the Cowboys who got the win against the Giants earlier this season, winning that one 23-16. They have the obvious edge at home in this game, but will we see the total go OVER? While both teams are trending UNDER, 6 of the last 8 meetings between these teams have gone OVER.

Chicago Bears at New York Jets – OVER 39 ½

It has been a disappointing season for the Bears, who come into this weekend on a 4-game losing skid that has dropped them to 3-8 overall. The Jets have been a bit of a surprise this season, going 6-4 to this point, but their may be trouble in paradise after we saw some finger pointing taking place after a loss to the New England Patriots this past weekend. The Jets need to get back to winning ways this week if they are to keep touch in the East, but this is a tricky one, The OVER has hit in each of the last 5 games for the Bears, and while things have been trending the other way for the Jets, I like the OVER to hit here.

Cincinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans – OVER 43

The general consensus last year was that the Bengals trip to the Super Bowl would not be their last. They have slowly but surely been putting together a very good team, but this season has proven to be a bit of a grind. They have, though, won 2 in a row to get to 6-4 on the season, so perhaps they are gearing up for a late run. The Titans are in great shape at 7-3 and have a clear lead in the South. They will want to lock up that division crown as quickly as possible, and a win here would certainly help the cause. In terms of the point total, the OVER has hit in 4 of the last 5 for the Bengals. The Titans are 11-5 O/U in their last 16 games in November.
