Sharp National Football League Betting Picks of the Week

NFL Week 15

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 16 – Monday, Dec. 20

Kansas City should cover the -3 against the Chargers on NFL Thursday Night Football

The Los Angeles Chargers are a very good football team. But LAC runs up against one of the best teams in the NFL on Thursday night.

Don’t expect an early season repeat where the Bolts upset Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Kansas City is playing like a Super Bowl squad. The Chiefs’ offense can’t be stopped while KC’s D has allowed no more than 9 points in each of the Chiefs’ last 3 games.

The Patriots are a great moneyline play versus Jonathan Taylor and the Colts

The Indianapolis Colts has forced more takeaways than any other team in the NFL. Not only that, but Jonathan Taylor is an amazing running back.

With that being written, you can’t force takeaways unless the team you play against makes mistakes. In that sense, the Colts are up against it versus the incredibly disciplined New England Patriots.

Bill Belichick’s team doesn’t make many mistakes. Rookie QB Mac Jones completes over 70% of his passes. During the 7-game winning streak, Jones’ TD to INT ratio is an awesome 9-to-2.

Jones threw 3 passes versus the Bills and the Patriots still beat Buffalo at Orchard Park Stadium. The Colts will rack up yards but struggle to score touchdowns. New England moneyline might be the sharpest play of the week.

Green Bay offers overlay odds to cover versus the Ravens

Whether Lamar Jackson plays or not, the Baltimore Ravens will have a tough time covering the spread versus the most complete team in the NFL.

The Green Bay Packers’ offense is incredible. Aaron Rodgers should throw for close to 400 yards against a Baltimore secondary missing most of their cornerbacks.

So even if Lamar takes to the gridiron, Rodgers and the GB offense will dominate. Expect at least a 7-point victory, which means the Packers handle the spread no problem.

The Rams are an underlay versus the Seahawks

The Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals and suddenly they’re 4 ½-point chalks versus rival Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks?

Anybody who watched Cards – Rams knows Arizona mistakes are a big reason for the 30-23 Los Angeles victory. If Kyler Murray doesn’t miss a wide-open A.J. Green for a TD on the Cardinals’ first possession, the score could have easily been reversed.

Murray also threw a pick in the red zone. Sharps know this, which is why many of them are pounding the resurgent Seahawks who looked fantastic in wins over the San Francisco 49ers and versus the Houston Texans in Week 13 and Week 14.

New Orleans should cover the spread against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa struggled to beat the Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 14. The reason? Josh Allen rallied the Bills and forced overtime.

The Buffalo quarterback faced a 17-point deficit. So Allen put his teammates on his back and used his legs to dominate the Buccaneers’ defense.

The Saints are ridiculous +11 underdogs against the Bucs. Like Buffalo, New Orleans has a big, strong, rushing quarterback. If Tampa couldn’t stop Allen from rushing the football, why do we believe they’ll stop Taysom Hill from rushing the ball?

New Orleans can win this straight up. Sharps aren’t thinking moneyline. They’re gleefully taking the points.
