NFL Week 16 Over/Under Betting Trends for the Weekend Matches

NFL Week 16 Over/Under Betting Trends for the Weekend Matches

There are now just 3 weeks remaining in the NFL regular season and we have something of a strange schedule in Week16. Since Christmas Day falls on Sunday, most of the action has been moved to Saturday, so be sure to keep that in mind as you get ready to wager. With 3 games to go, we are starting to see teams clinch their postseason spots, while some are already done and other clinging to life. We should see the window close a little more for teams on the outside looking in at the playoff picture this weekend, so every game on the schedule holds some level of importance. We have gone through the schedule and picked out 3 NFL Betting games that we like for out O/U picks for Week 16, so let’s take a closer look at each of those games.

O/U Picks for This Week’s NFL Games | Week 16 Betting Analysis

Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears – OVER 40 ½

The Buffalo Bills may have clinched the AFC East after getting to 11-3 on the season, but now is not the time for them to rest on their laurels. There is still the business of the #1 seed to attend to, and with Kansas City breathing down their neck and Cincinnati making a late push, the Bills may still need to win out to get that top seed. The Chicago Bears are at 3-11, are officially eliminated from playoff contention, and are on a 7-game losing skid, but they would also love nothing more than to play the role of spoiler. Buffalo has seen 4 of their last 6 games played in the month of December go OVER, while the Bears have seen the OVER hit in 7 of their last 8 overall.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans – OVER 37

The Tennessee Titans looked to be cruising to a division title and a spot in the playoffs, but they have gone off the rails and have now lost 4 in a row. That losing skid has opened a rather unexpected door for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who appear to be hitting their stride and ready to make an improbable late run. While this looks like a slam dunk for the Titans against 1-win Houston, it should be noted that the Texans are becoming a very difficult out, just as they were last weekend versus the Chiefs. 4 of the last 6 meetings between these two teams have gone OVER.

New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings – UNDER 47 ½

This past weekend, we saw arguably the greatest comeback in NFL history, with the Minnesota Vikings wiping out a 33-point half-time deficit to come back and beat the Colts. The question now is how they follow that up and deliver an encore. They are going against a Giants team that is coming off a much-needed win as they look to secure a playoff spot. That win snapped a streak that saw the Giants go 0-3-1 in their last 4 games. This is a matchup that has very much gone the way of the UNDER, with 4 of the last 5 meetings between these 2 teams going that route. I expect more of the same this weekend.
