NFL 2021 Week 18 Against the Spread Betting Analysis & Picks

NFL 2021 Week 18 Against the Spread Betting Analysis & Picks

Not everyone was on board with the idea of adding an extra week to the NFL regular season, but the coaches and players of 6 teams are sure to be glad for it right now. We head into the final week of the season with just 2 playoff spots, 1 in each conference, up for grabs and 6 teams with a shot at taking them. There are 2 teams going after it in the NFC and 4 in the AFC, so it is all to play for in this final weekend of the regular season. As we do every week, we are going to make some picks, starting with a trio of plays against the spread. We would suggest keeping an open for key players being rested this weekend, as they may have an impact on how things play out. That said, let’s jump right into action so you can bet against the NFL odds.

Week 18 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting

Kansas City Chiefs (-10) at Denver Broncos

After a bit of a wobbly patch earlier in the season, the Kansas City Chiefs returned to the kind of form that we expected from them coming down the stretch. They looked like a lock to go on and take the #1 seed in the AFC, but after a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last weekend, they now need to win their final game of the season and hope that that Tennessee Titans lose. The Chiefs have a bit of a tricky one in Week 18, as they need to head to Denver, which is never an easy place to get a win, to face the Broncos. This is a matchup that the Chiefs have totally dominated in recent years, covering the spread in 10 of their last 12 meetings with the Broncos. That includes going 7-0 ATS in their last 7 visits to Mile High. With so much on the line, look for the Chiefs to come out strong.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-8)

Just as they did last season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to need to take the longer road to the Super Bowl. They came up a little short in the race to land the #1 seed in the NFC, but they may have some other things to be worried about right now after seeing Antonio Brown essentially quit the team in the middle of their win over the New York Jets this past weekend. Their attention right now is on their final home game of the season, which will come against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are limping towards the finish line, having lost 6 in a row while failing to put up any kind of meaningful offense. They have failed to cover in those 6 games, while the Bucs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7.

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-17)

While they have officially clinched a postseason spot, the Buffalo Bills still have it all to play for. They have a tiebreaker lead over the Patriots atop the AFC East, but they need to win this final game to win the division and ensure themselves of a home game in the opening round of the playoffs. This looks like an easy game for the Bills to achieve that goal, but let’s not sleep on a Jets team that came very close to upsetting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend. That said, the Jets are still just 1-6 ATS when facing teams from their own division. On the flipside, the Bills have gone 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 versus divisional foes.
