The Raiders found their future quarterback in Jarrett Stidham. The former New England Patriot threw for 365 yards and 3 TDs in a loss to the 49ers. The Raiders almost pulled off the upset win in the first head-to-head. Expect Las Vegas to get it done on Saturday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +173 at Atlanta Falcons -215 | Sunday, Jan. 8

There’s a good chance Tampa sits Tom Brady on Sunday. The Buccaneers won’t get home field and should enter as the lowest seed of the four divisional winning squads.

With each start, rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder has improved. He should lead the ATL to their second straight victory.

The Texans had no shot versus Jacksonville in their last. The Colts are a different story.

Indianapolis is ready to go home for a vacation. The Colts were in disarray pretty much since day 1 this season. We shouldn’t expect Indy to suddenly step it up. The Texans played competitively in almost every game. They’ll play well enough on Sunday to end the season with a third victory.

Carolina Panthers +155 at New Orleans Saints -191 | Sunday, Jan. 8

Although New Orleans has won 3 straight, they won’t make the playoffs, which makes handicapping this game easy. The Saints expected to make the playoffs.

So New Orleans will play worse on Sunday than they have in the past month. Carolina became competitive about a month ago. The Saints always struggle to beat the Panthers. Carolina ends the season with a win.

Cleveland Browns +120 at Pittsburgh Steelers -147 | Sunday, Jan. 8

To keep their playoff hopes alive, Pittsburgh must win their third straight and sixth in their last 7. It won’t be easy because Cleveland always plays the Steelers tough.

Pittsburgh’s defense should contain Nick Chubb, though. Also, Kenny Pickett is playing great football. The Steelers’ QB leads his squad to another victory.

Both teams are playing lights out. The Packers have the edge because this is at Lambeau. But before siding with Green Bay, it’s important to note that Detroit’s defense has gotten much better in recent games.

Detroit allowed just 10 points to Chicago last Sunday. Minnesota scored 23 in a Lions’ victory on Dec. 11. The Jets were good for 17 in a Detroit win. The Lions are going to make this close.
