AFC East

New England (13-5 SU, 8-7-3 ATS) The New England Patriots won the AFC East last season and are the easy pick to do so again, despite the fact that future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady will miss the first four games of the regular season. The New York Jets are on the rise, but they’ve got one of the toughest schedules in the league this season. The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins look like they’ll both be nothing more than mediocre in 2016, making the Pts the pick to win the AFC East – again!

AFC West

Kansas City (12-6 SU, 9-9 ATS) Kansas City came in second place to Denver in the AFC West last season, but the Chiefs are my pick to win their division in 2016, mostly because I think the Broncos are going to take a step backwards on offense this season with mediocre veteran Mark Sanchez the likely starter in Denver. The Chiefs are loaded on both sides of the ball and will have gifted dual-threat running back Jamaal Charles back on the field after he missed virtually off of 2015.

AFC North

Cincinnati (12-5 SU, 12-3-2 ATS) The Bengals won a dozen games last season to beat out Pittsburgh by one game and Cincinnati is my pick to win the AFC North again in 2016. Pittsburgh will be without star running back Le’Veon Bell early on and that could cost them a game or two. Not only that, but Pittsburgh was mediocre at best against the pass last season and I’m not sure they’re going to be much better this coming season. The Bengals have a massive chip on their collective shoulders and I believe they’re built for long-term success. Cincy narrowly ekes out Pittsburgh for the AFC North crown.

AFC South

Indianapolis (8-8 SU, 9-8 ATS) The Colts lost their grip on the AFC South title last season, but they’re my pick to get it back in 2016 after coming up one game short of Houston a year ago. I know the Texans are getting better on both sides of the ball and will really challenge Indy for division supremacy again this coming season, but I believe the return of gifted quarterback Andrew Luck will put the Colts over the top in their quest for a division title at the very least.

NFC East

Dallas (4-12 SU, 4-11-1 ATS) The Cowboys sunk all the way to a pitiful four wins, but that was mostly because Dallas didn’t have an answer at backup quarterback for the perpetually-injured Tony Romo. Now, with running back Ezekiel Elliott on board and rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott looking like a future star in the preseason, I think the Boys get back to the power rushing ways that led them to a 12-win season and division title in 2014. One thing’s for sure, they’ll definitely have a chance in the completely mediocre NFC East.

NFC West

Seattle (11-7 SU, 8-9-1 ATS) The Seahawks lost their division title to 13-win Arizona last season and they’re not guaranteed to win it in 2016 seeing as how Arizona is still loaded on both sides of the ball. However, I think Seattle will have some renewed vigor on both sides of the ball in 2016 as they look to reach Super Bowl 51 while getting their NFC West title back – but just barely!

NFC North

Minnesota (11-6 SU, 14-3 ATS) Most people are picking Green bay to get their NFC North division title back after losing it to Minnesota last season, but I think the young Vikes win it again, mostly because they have the better defense of the two Super Bowl hopefuls. Minnesota added talented wide receiver Laquon Treadwell in the first round of the NFL Draft and will look to throw the ball more this coming season and I believe they’re going to be far more dangerous because of it.

NFC South

Carolina (17-2 SU, 13-6 ATS) The Panthers are the super easy pick to win the NFC South, over likely second place finisher Atlanta after nearly running the table last season. The Panthers are loaded on both sides of the ball and have a chip the size of the Himalayan Mountains on their collective shoulders after coming up with a clunker of a performance in their Super Bowl 50 matchup against Denver.
