This is the time of the year when hockey fans start to get a little impatient, especially when they have a team that is headed to the playoffs. It’s the final weekend of the regular season, and while there are still a couple of things to take care of, most of the games this weekend are more of a formality than anything else. The Calgary Flames are back in the postseason after missing out last year, and they have already announced that some of their prospects will be getting ice time in their final two games. It is more than likely that those guys will be hitting the ice on Saturday, which will be the final game of the season for Calgary. This one will also serve as the final game of the season for San Jose, who will also be playing beyond the regular season. The Sharks are unlikely to move out of their current standing, so they don’t really have any reason to go all out for the win, other than to head into the postseason with some momentum, which has been missing for them recently.
