Okay MYBookie rugby betting community, with just two weeks remaining in the 2020 NRL Telestra Premiership season and the top eight teams gearing up for the postseason, it’s time to find out which games on the Round 19 schedule are offering the best betting value against their NRL odds.

NRL Round 19 Events Preview – Highlights, Odds and Picks (Sept. 18 – 19)

Paramatta Eels Vs Brisbane Broncos

Paramatta (13-0-5) is in fourth place in the NRL ladder with 26 points. The Eels have scored 338 points while conceding 252 points defensively. Brisbane (3-0-15) is in 15th place in the AFL ladder with a paltry six points. The Broncos have been limited to a league-low 240 points while allowing a league-high 566 points defensively.

Paramatta has lost two of three and comes into this matchup off a humbling 20-2 loss against league-leading Penrith in Round 18. Brisbane suffered an 18-6 loss against Gold Coast in Round 18.

Prediction

Paramatta has won two straight and three of the last four meetings in this rivalry while outsourcing the Broncos 92-6 over the last two meetings combined. The Eels might be struggling right now, but there’s nothing like a matchup against the league’s lowest-scoring offense and the league’s worst defense to get back on track. Parammatta might not have a lot left to play for at this point, but the Eels almost assuredly want to hit the postseason on a positive note. Paramatta shuts down Brisbane’s pitiful offense while getting the concrete win.

Pick: Eels 36 Broncos 12

Melbourne Storm Vs Wests Tigers

Melbourne (15-0-3) is in second place in the NRL ladder with 30 points. The Storm have scored 462 pints while allowing 224 points defensively. Melbourne comes into this matchup fresh off a 36-20 win over the Cowboys in Round 18.

The Wests Tigers (7-0-11) are sitting in ninth place in the NRL ladder with 14 points. The Tigers have scored 394 points this season while allowing 427 points. The Tigers have lost two of their last three and come into this matchup fresh off a narrow 26-24 loss against South Sydney in Round 18.

Prediction

Melbourne might already have locked down a spot in the postseason, but the Storm will definitely want to hit the postseason riding high and that means they need to take care of business against a mediocre team they should put away rather easily. Melbourne has won three of the last five meetings in this series and they’ll get another ‘W’ in this matchup.

Pick: Storm 36 Tigers 24

Sydney Roosters Vs Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks

Sydney (13-0-5) is in third place in the NRL ladder with 26 points. The Roosters have won each of their last three and come into this matchup off a 42-12 rout over the Knights in Round 18. Cronulla(10-0-8) is in eighth place in the standings with 20 points. The Sharks have won two straight including a 22-14 win over New Zealand in Round 18.

Prediction

The two-time defending champion Roosters have scored a league-high 510 points while ranking third in fewest points allowed. Conversely, the Sharks have only scored 26 more points this season than they’ve allowed. Sydney has won four straight in this rivalry including a 30-16 win the last time they met in 2019. More importantly, the reigning champs are looking to increase the level of their play as they get set to make a real run at three straight NRL Telestra titles. This one could be over by the half as Sydney dominates.

Pick: Roosters 36 Sharks 22
