Best Rugby Odds for this Week: English Premiership, United Championship Must Bet Games

After an exciting month of North vs. South encounters, the international rugby window has closed for the holiday season.

However, there is still plenty of rugby action unfolding this weekend, with the Top 14 and Premiership Rugby and United Rugby Championship in Europe, as well as the Dubai Sevens Series kicking off.

We look at the best matches from each of these competitions, and preview the Rugby Odds for the best bets to make on these.

Weekly Rundown of the Top Rugby Games to Must Bet On | November 30th Edition

Leinster vs Ulster (United Rugby Championship, Saturday, 3 December, 2:35 PM EST)

After eight rounds of the United Rugby Championship, two teams sit atop of the table—and they both come from the Irish conference.

Leinster and Ulster are on 38 and 30 points, respectively, with Leinster unbeaten across eight games and Ulster suffering just the one loss from their seven matches. These two Irish heavyweights come head-to-head in a top-of-the-table clash this weekend, in what should be a spectacular match.

Leinster are favored to retain their unbeaten status and further cement their No.1 spot on the ladder, with odds of -500 to win, well ahead of Ulster’s +350.

Gloucester vs. Northampton (Gallagher Premiership, Saturday, 3 December, 2:30 PM EST)

Over in Premiership Rugby, a mouth-watering clash between No.4 ranked Northampton, and No.7 Gloucester looms.

Gloucester are playing in front of a home crowd, and come into this one off a tight loss to No.3 ranked Harlequins last weekend, 21-12. To date across the season, Gloucester are 4-4, and would dearly like to improve to 5-4 and solidify their grip on a playoff spot heading into the back end of the season.

Northampton on the other hand, are coming off an impressive win over the Barbarians last weekend, where they were 45-39 victors. They’ll be eager to carry on that momentum into Premiership Rugby and improve their record to 5-5 for the season.

Odds for this one are tight, with Gloucester -200 favorites despite their lower position on the table and recent loss. Northampton aren’t far behind however, with odds of +160.

Dubai Sevens (Friday, 2 December to Sunday, 4 December)

If 15-a-side rugby isn’t your flavor, then there’s also a packed weekend of Sevens rugby to look forward to with the HSBC World Sevens Series heading to Dubai this weekend.

Odds for this tournament aren’t out yet, and there are plenty of exciting fixtures that are yet to be decided for the later stages of the event. However, looking at the pool play, three matches stand out as being must-watches already.

  • Argentina vs. New Zealand
  • South Africa vs. Great Britain
  • Australia vs. Kenya

All of these matches occur early on Friday, and should be highly competitive affairs. Argentina are going from strength to strength recently, while New Zealand are always in the running for the title. The recently combined Great Britain team is an exciting prospect, as is the thought of a Kenya upset over Australia.
