Weekly Rundown of the Top Rugby Games to Must Bet On | December 28th Edition

English Premiership – Saracens FC (-7.5) vs Exeter RC Chiefs

Will Saracens continue to roll through the English Premiership as they’ve done to the tune of a 9-0-1 record this season? One would think that maybe Exeter could put up a fight, as they are decent at 5-0-5 and riding a five-game win streak. The Chiefs lost to Saracens in their earlier meeting near the end of October, but it was a hard-fought battle that ended 22-20.

English Premiership – Northampton Saints (-3.5) vs. Harlequins FC

Harlequins is the #3 club in the English Premiership table, and they’re underdogs. Sure Northampton is at home, but they’ve lost three straight.

Top 14 – Union Bordeaux Begles (-6.5) vs. Montpellier Herault Rugby

Montpelier picked up a 29-19 win over Union Bordeaux when the teams met back in September, so is a location that important to have the Begles a -6.5 favorite back on their own turf?

Top 14 – Aviron Bayonne (-1.5) vs. RC Toulonnais

Bayonne and Toulon are battling in the #6 and #8 spots in the table, respectively with both clubs tallying seven in the win column. Toulon gets the edge here based on momentum, as they’ve won three straight, while Bayonne has dropped three in a row.

Top 14 – Asm Clermont Auvergne (-1.5) vs. Stade Toulousain

Toulouse tripped up 21-14 against Lyon back on November 27th, but that remains one of their few blemishes on a 9-1-3 season. You have to take Toulouse with the 1.5 points here.

United Rugby Championship – The Sharks (-5.5) vs. Blue Bulls

The Sharks have connected on four straight victories, but have a tough rematch with a Bulls squad that beat them 40-27 back on October 30th. Scoring points is nothing new for the Bulls, who lead the league in points and tries, so they have value as +5.5 underdogs.

United Rugby Championship – Stormers (-16.5) vs Lions

The Stormers have the #4 scoring offense in the United Rugby Championship, and they’ve been dialed in with 34+ points in four of their last five matchups. That doesn’t bode well for the Lions, who just got beaten 37-10 by the Sharks last week.

United Rugby Championship – Scarlets (-7.5) vs Dragons

A good rugby betting match doesn’t necessarily need to feature clubs near the top of the table, and that’s what we have when the Scarlets and Dragons meet up with a combined four wins. The fact that the Scarlets are 1-1-8 and still a -7.5 favorite is absurd.
