Over on the other side of the world, Super League is equally as competitive, with St. Helens looking to lock up the top spot and guarantee home finals with a few rounds remaining, while Wigan, Catalans and Huddersfield are fighting it out for second place, and automatic qualification for the semi-finals.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles vs Sydney Roosters (-13.5), NRL Thursday 5:50 AM ET

It doesn’t get much better than this in terms of NRL match ups.

The Sea Eagles and Roosters are currently 8th and 9th on the ladder, each with nine wins and nine losses for the season. They’ve split their last four meetings two wins apiece, with the Roosters having the best of the encounters this season, victors 26-12 in Round Two.

The Roosters come into this one surprisingly heavy favorites with odds of 13.5, most likely because of the difference in form—Sea Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss to 11th placed Dragons, whereas the Roosters have put up big wins of 28 and 30 points the last two weeks over the Dragons and Knights.

Expect this one to be closer than the odds indicate, with both teams fighting desperately to pull away from the pack fighting for 8th place on the ladder.

Cronulla Sharks (-2.5) vs South Sydney Rabbitohs, NRL Saturday 3:30 AM ET

Look for a high quality match here, as the third placed Sharks take on the sixth placed Rabbitohs.

Only one win separates the two teams this year, and the Sharks will be chasing a top two finish, while the Rabbitohs will be wanting to pull away from the congested middle section of the NRL ladder.

The Sharks are coming off a tough 10 point loss to runaway competition leaders Penrith Panthers last week, while the Rabbitohs put in a good performance over 5th placed Storm, winning 24-12. The teams are yet to meet this season, with the Rabbitohs winning their last match up in 2021, 32-22.

Sharks hold the slight advantage here with a -2.5 edge, as this match is shaping up to be a cracker.

Wigan Warriors (-12.0) vs Hull Kingston Rovers, Super League Thursday, 3:00 PM ET

The bookies give Wigan a -12.0 advantage on this match, but with six more matches left to play after this one, Hull KR will be desperate to bag a win in this clash.

Wigan are placed nicely in second place on the Super League ladder with 28 points, six adrift from first placed St Helens, and two ahead of Catalans. Hull KR, however, are locked in a three way arm wrestle for 6th place, stuck on 18 points alongside Castleford and Hull FC, as each team looks to clinch the final qualifying position on the ladder.

Second placed Wigan enter this match off the back of a comprehensive 30 point loss to 9th place Leeds, a result that surprised many punters. Hull KR, however, scored a solid 30-22 win over 10th placed Warrington last round.

Expect finals quality footy as both teams vie to improve their late season fortunes.
