The Hell is Real Derby should be a fun one this weekend. FC Cincinnati sit atop the Eastern Conference standings and, with 27 points, have the most in all of MLS. This weekend they host fifth-place Columbus Crew, coming off an impressive 2-0 home win on Wednesday.

These teams have met 10 times in MLS action since FCC joined MLS, and the Crew have won five times to just one win for FC Cincinnati. The hosts won in October 2020 in front of very few fans at their old home. They have hosted the Crew twice at TQL Stadium, with both games ending in 2-2 draws.

Lucas Zelarayan returned to action on Wednesday and scored for the Crew against the Galaxy. He has relished games against FCC with four goals and three assists in six appearances. On the other side of the rivalry, Luciano Acosta has three assists and a goal in three games against the Crew.

At MyBookie, FC Cincinnati are the favorites at -111. The Crew at +300, and a draw is +265. The total goals is 2.5, with the over at -127 and the under at +100.

The Florida Derby is on tap for this weekend as well. Both teams, Inter Miami and Orlando City, need a win to climb up the standings. They are in a log jam with eight teams between fifth and 12th place, separated by just three points in the Eastern Standings.

Miami won three straight games by identical 2-1 scores before they lost by the same score at Nashville on Wednesday. Josef Martinez has scored three goals in the last three games, with a brace against his former team, Atlanta United, on May 6.

Orlando couldn’t finish off a win against NYCFC on Wednesday, settling for a 1-1 draw. They also drew 2-2 last weekend in Columbus and have just one win in their last five games. Orlando City is led by Duncan McGuire’s four goals, while Ercan Kara scored his third goal of the season against NYCFC.

Since Miami joined MLS, they have three wins, four losses, and two draws against Orlando City. Last year, Miami won 4-1 at home, and they are 3-1 against Orlando City in home games.

Two of the three Texas teams that meet up this weekend appear headed in opposite directions. The Houston Dynamo haven’t scored in three straight games, and they have more than one goal just once in the last eight contests. They are underdogs as they head north to FC Dallas for a Saturday night showdown against a team that one loss in the last seven games.

FC Dallas beat Vancouver at home 2-1 on Wednesday after winning at Austin 1-0 last weekend. They have scored in all but two games this season and have a 4-1-1 record at home. In those six home games, FC Dallas have outscored their opponents 10-6, and Jesus Ferreira has six of those 10 goals.

The Texas Derby has been pretty even overall, with Dallas on top 15-14 in wins, and the teams have 17 draws. However, Houston has just one win in the last six games, and they haven’t won in Dallas since 2011.

At MyBookie, FC Dallas are favored at +105. Houston Dynamo are +295 to get their first road win in this rivalry in 12 years. A draw is listed at +250.
