Premier League Winning Predictions For The Coming Weekend

Premier League Winning Predictions For The Coming Weekend

Written by on August 24, 2016

We are two weeks into the English Premier League season, and as is the norm for this league, there have been plenty of surprises. Hull City seem like a team doomed to relegation, yet they have won both of their games so far. The Champions, Leicester City, only have a single point, as do Arsenal. Things will start to become a little clearer once we get a few more weeks into the season, but it has to be said that the two Manchester teams are setting up early as the online betting favorites to win it all. Will either of those two feature in my Premier League winning bets for the weekend? Let’s take a look and see.

Analyzing The Premier League Winning Predictions For Coming Weekend

Manchester United Vs Hull City

When Manchester United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the offseason, a lot of people were quick to point to his age, and how he would be unable to compete in the very physical Premier League. Two game in, and the big Swede already has 3 goals, not to mention the winner in the Community Shield prior to the season kicking off. It’s a surprising top of the table clash for United this weekend, as they will host unbeaten Hull City, a team with only 13 fit first team regulars and no manager. Look for Zlatan to add to his tally, and for United to win big.

Leicester City Vs Swansea

It’s been a pretty poor start for the defending champions, with only 1 point picked up out of a possible 6. They looked very much out of sorts in an opening weekend loss to Hull, but were unlucky not to get more than a 0-0 tie versus Arsenal last weekend. This looks to be a good chance for them to get their first win of the season, as they are playing a Swansea team coming off a lackluster performance last weekend versus Hull. I like Leicester to win this one 2-0.

Tottenham Vs Liverpool

Tottenham came ever so close to winning the title last season, and there were many who pegged them as one of the betting favorites this year. They have 4 points out of their first two games, but are having difficulty finding the back of the net. They will be facing a Liverpool side that has problems keeping the ball out of their own net, having conceded 5 goals in the first 2 games of the season. I actually think that these two teams cancel each other out a little, and I like a 1-1 draw here.

Watford Vs Arsenal

It’s fair to say that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger entered this season on the hot seat, and things are already getting a little warmer. The Gunners were torn apart by Liverpool in the opening week of the season, and they were lucky to get away with a point in a 0-0 tie with Leicester last weekend. The good news for Arsenal in that game was that the defense looked a whole lot more organized. They have injury concerns that are starting to clear up, and I like them to eke out a 2-1 win versus Watford.
