Which team between the two favorites deserves the most attention, France or Germany?

Germany, no question deserves a longer look to win EURO 2020 than France. Technically, France beat Germany in their group stage match.

But Germany’s Mats Hummels scored the goal for France. If Hummels hadn’t committed the infraction, who knows which team would have won?

Not only that, but Germany’s offense has played great. So if the Germans settle down in back, they should have a nice run during the knockout stage.

Does Italy, England or Belgium offer overlay odds?

Two of the three teams listed offer overlay odds. First, Italy should be no worse than a +450 choice to win EURO 2020.

In 3 matches, the Italians didn’t yield a goal. They outscored their opponents, Turkey, Switzerland, and Wales, a combined 7-0.

The other overlay is Belgium. It makes no sense how a team like Belgium, which went 3-0 during the group stage and boasts 2 of the best top 10 soccer players on the planet, offers higher odds than Germany or France to win EURO 2020.

Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku are dominating. Eden Hazard has played well. Only Italy was more impressive during the group stage.

England’s odds are better than Belgium’s, but the English scored 2 goals in 3 matches. England won’t beat teams like Belgium, Italy, Germany, or even the Netherlands unless they pick it up on offense.

Which squad is the best choice among Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands?

There’s a reason to like both Spain and Portugal. But the team to back among the three are the Dutch.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay rocked it during the group stage. Not only that, but the Netherlands has the easiest path to the semifinals.

Spain takes on Switzerland and then is likely to face off against France in the quarterfinals. Portugal’s Round of 16 match is against Belgium.

The Netherlands battle the Czech Republic. If they beat the Czechs, Wijnaldum and his mates face either Wales or Denmark in the quarters.

Is there an underdog that can win EURO 2020?

Three underdog teams are good enough to win EURO 2020. Denmark, Croatia, and Sweden all have enough talent to win the trophy.

Of the three, Croatia deserves the longest look. Luka Modric, Ivan Perisic and the rest played great in the 3-1 win against Scotland. Croatia made it to the 2018 World Cup Finals.

Both Sweden and Denmark also deserve looks. The Swedes and Danes play in the same bracket with Germany, the Netherlands, and England. Germany and England face off in the Round of 16, which means one team will be eliminated before the quarterfinals.

Sweden and Denmark, at least on paper, have an easier road to the EURO 2020 Finals than Croatia. So handicap further before deciding to back any of the three longshots.
