This event may be listed as a fight night, but UFC Vegas 28 is a bit of a misnomer in that is will actually begin in the late afternoon, with the main card set to go off at 4 PM EST. There is a lot to like about this card, regardless of the time, as we have 6 very good fights set to go in Sin City on Saturday afternoon. Without further ado, let’s get to those bouts, their UFC odds, and predictions for each.
MMA Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik Vs Sakai
Tom Breese (-250) Vs Antonio Arroyo (+195)
The main card begins with a Middleweight bout that features a pair of fighters in desperate need of a win. Breese is a very respectable 12-3, but those 3 losses have all come in his last 5 fights. Arroyo is in a similar position, as he has lost each of his last 2 fights and seen his career mark drop to 9-4 in the process. Breese gets the win here, I believe, with the KO a distinct possibility.
Dusko Todorovic (-135) Vs Gregory Rodrigues (+105)
As the odds clearly show, picking a winner in this Middleweight bout is no easy feat. Todorovic will be looking to bounce back after taking the first loss of his pro career to fall to 9-1 overall. Rodrigues is 9-3 and is in a very good run of form, winning 4 of his last 5 fights. A good matchup here, but I like Todorovic to win by KO.
Santiago Ponzinibbio (-105) Vs Miguel Baeza (-125)
The Welterweights are up next in a fight that will have one of these men looking to keep their unbeaten record intact. Ponzinibbio is coming into this one on the heels of a loss, but with a 27-4 career mark, he is dangerous. Baeza is quickly climbing the division ranks after winning each of his first 10 fights. This will be a tough one for him, but I think he keeps the streak alive with a KO win.
Roman Dolidze (-145) Vs Laureano Staropoli (+115)
While not quite a must win bout, both of these Middleweights are looking to get back on track ASAP. Dolidze won the first 8 fights of his pro career before taking a loss last time out. Things are a little more grim for Staropoli, as he is looking to snap a 2-fight losing streak. I think this one goes the distance, with Dolidze getting the win.
Walt Harris (+150) Vs Marcin Tybura (-180)
Next up is the co-main event of the night, which is a Heavyweight bout between a couple of fighters in the top 10. Harris is barely clinging to his top 10 spot, though, as he has now lost 2 fights in a row. Tybura is heading in the other direction, winning each of his last 4 fights. Tybura just looks really strong right now and I think he gets the win in this one.
Jairzinho Rosenstruik (-120) Vs Augusto Sakai (-110)
The big boys close out the night with a Heavyweight bout that looks very unlikely to go the distance. Rosenstruik won 10 in a row before losing 2 of his last 3 to fall to 11-2 overall. Sakai is a very respectable 15-2-1 in his pro career, but he is coming into this one on the heels of a loss. The fists will be flying here and I like Rosenstruik to get the KO win.
