We are all a little tired of watching news about the Presidential Election this week, so it is going to be a welcome break to see another great UFC Fight Night at the Las Vegas Apex. The UFC is back in Sin City after spending some time away from the mainland at Fight Island, and what we have on Saturday night is a potentially exciting main card. All told, there are a total of 5 fights on the main card, and while it is listed as a co-main event, it will be the bout between Santos and Teixeira that will serve as the headliner. There is a lot to cover here, so let’s take a closer look at the 5 main card fights, along with their UFC odds.
UFC Fight Night: Santos Vs Teixeira | MMA Betting
Claudia Gadelha (+125) Vs Xiaonan Yan (-155)
The main card begins with a Strawweight event that features a pair of fighters edging closer to a potential title fight. Gadelha is trying to claw here way back up the rankings after a spell that saw her lose 2 of 3 fights. She is getting there, though, as she comes into this one having won back to back fights, both of which went the distance. Yan, who is 12-1, is on a much better run of form, as she has now won 10 in a row. This will be a tough one for Yan, but I think she gets the win via decision.
Ian Heinisch (-110) Vs Brendan Allen (-120)
You need only look at the odds to get an idea of just how evenly matched this Middleweight bout is. Ian Heinisch has seen his climb up the rankings stall of late after back to back losses, but he did bounce back last time out with an impressive opening round KO of Gerald Meerschaert. He is in danger of heading back to the losing column here, though, as Allen is hot at the moment, coming into this bout on a 7-fight win streak. This is a fight that looks destined to go the distance. I am on Allen to continue his in streak.
Raoni Barcelos (-370) Vs Khalid Taha (+295)
Next up is a bantamweight bout that looks to be a bit of a one-side affair, but let’s take a look at why this one might be over rather quickly. Barcelos comes into this fight with a 15-1 career mark, which includes an 8-fight win streak. He had to go all the way on his last bout, but he has made a habit of finishing fights early. It has been an up and down period of time for Taha, whose last fight ended as a No Contest. I think he is in over his head here, so I am taking Barcelos via submission.
Andrei Arlovski (+240) Vs Tanner Boser (-300)
The co-main event of the night is a heavyweight bout between a pair of fighters with some serious stopping power. Arlovski, who has a career mark of 29-19, comes in as the underdog, mostly because of his recent form. Arlovski has just 3 wins in his last 8 fights, so he is certainly up against it here. Boser (19-6-1) is on a good run of form, winning 4 of his last 5, with 3 of those fights ending early. I think Boser gets the job don quickly with a KO win.
Thiago Santos (-250) Vs Glover Teixeira (+195)
The final fight of the night promises to be a great one, as it features two of the best fighters in the Light Heavyweight division. It has been a while since we last seen Santos, as he has taken over a year off after losing to Jon Jones in 2019. He comes into this one with an impressive 21-7 career mark, but will he be rusty? Teixeira is 31-7 in his career and is on a run of form that has seen him win 4 in a row. He has finished 4 of those fights early, and I think he does the same here to get the win.
