Then on Sunday, The Philly Stars battle the Pittsburgh Maulers, and the Michigan Panthers throw down against the New Jersey Devils. Both Sunday contests take place in Detroit.

Birmingham is close to a 7-point chalk, but like the Stallions, the New Orleans Breakers boast a 2-0 record. The Breakers played both of their first 2 games in Birmingham, and it turned out well both times.
New Orleans beat Pittsburgh 22-15 and then got by a decent Gamblers side 38-31. The fact the Breakers won a game with defense and then in the next week beat Houston with their offense means they can adjust.

Although the game happens in Memphis, no team in the USFL has true home advantage. Still, the Showboats could have a slight edge because Houston has yet to get a win.
The Gamblers’ offense was downright pathetic in Houston’s first game, a 13-29 loss to the Michigan Panthers. The Gamblers’ offense bounced back in the second game, but it wasn’t enough as Houston fell 38-31 to New Orleans.
Memphis played well in their first, losing to Philadelphia by 4 points in a 27-23 game. But in their second, the Showboats sunk big time.
The Stallions decimated the Boats 42-2. It’s difficult seeing Memphis coming back from the disappointing performance. The score won’t be as bad. However, Houston wins and covers.

Michigan dusted Philly 24-10 in the Stars’ second game. In their first, Philly got by Memphis by 4. Although it won’t be easy, the Stars should score enough for the cover victory because Pittsburgh’s offense might be the worst in the USFL.
