This is an AFC South matchup that is essentially a division decider, as the winner of this one will clinch the crown and be headed to the playoffs. The Titans are on the slide with their starting QB out for the season, while the Jaguars looks like a team on the rise. It is the Jaguars who seem to have all the momentum and advantages here, but what we are concerned with is the point total. The Jags have seen the OVER hit in 4 of their last 6 overall, as well as in 4 of their last 6 versus the Titans, so that’s how I am leaning in this one.

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints – OVER 41 ½

This is one of the few games on the schedule that has zero impact on the playoffs, as both of these teams have been officially eliminated. With that in mind, this might be a game that a lot of bettors choose to bypass, but I think we have an opportunity to make some money here. Yes, both teams are out, but with zero pressure, they both might well come out and swing for the fences, which in turn could lead to some big offensive numbers. That aside, we have some trends that very much point in one direction, with the Panthers seeing 4 of their last 5 games go OVER the point total. The OVER has also hit in 8 of the last 9 times that Carolina has played in New Orleans.

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts – UNDER 38

I may be contradicting myself a little bit with this pick based on what I said about the Panthers/Saints game. Sure, both of these teams may come out swinging for the fences, but unlike those other teams, these two don’t necessarily have the firepower to make this one an offensive battle. Both the Colts and the Texans have combined for just 6 wins on the season and are among the lowest scoring teams in the league. The Texans have seen the UNDER hit in 6 of their last 8 games overall, and while the Colts have been trending OVER of late, they have seen the UNDER hit in each of their last 6 home meetings with the Texans.
