Top WNBA Matches to Bet On the Week: Liberty Trying to Sneak Into Playoffs

Time is flying by to the point where the WNBA Playoffs are around the corner. Which each team slated to play just a few more games, the final seedings are starting to become clear. And the lottery is all but set, with the 9-12 seeds trying to find their way in.

In what will be a critical week for all 12 teams in the league, let’s take a look at some of the games on the slate so you can bet against their WNBA odds.

WNBA Games for the Week

Wings vs Aces

On Monday, Dallas will head to Vegas for an early afternoon battle. The Wings are currently in playoff position, but as the seventh-best team, it will not be easy for them. If they can find a way to swing an upset here, it could provide a significant confidence boost.

The Aces will need a few wins to hold off the Lynx for the second-best record, and tops in the West. This is one they have to win for that reason, though the Sun have pretty much-secured #1 seed and home-court should they make it to the Finals.

With plenty of starpower and seeding up for grabs, this game is a must-watch.

Liberty vs Sun

Connecticut and NY will play a huge game on Wednesday, with a lot on the line. As of now, the Liberty are not a playoff team. But if they can win out and get some help, they just might be able to sneak in. They need to get past the banged-up Mystics in the standings.

As for the Sun, a few wins to end the year would do wonders for Jonquel Jones MVP case. They have never had great playoff success, so if they do want to win it all, they will need to keep their guns blazing.

As for what to watch with this game, it’s all about the Liberty. They need a win. And Sabrina Ionescu will do some amazing things with the basketball as she usually does.

Friday Night Hoops

The Liberty will get their shot at the Mystics on Friday night, so if they can go 2-0 in the week, they may be able to secure their wish and a spot in the playoffs. Even as a lower seed, anything would be able to happen when you possess the solid talent that they do.

If D.C. can get the victory in that battle, they should be able to ride into the playoffs without question, a spot in the hunt to bring a fall championship home.

And the Mercury and Storm will play a late one on Friday night, tipping off at 10:00 PM ET. The game is being played in Seattle, where the Storm look to continue an impressive year. Even over the age of 40, there has been no decline from Sue Bird.

It’s a game that projects to be highly competitive, and one that it would be foolish to ignore. In a playoff series, these teams squaring off would put the ratings through the roof. So look for the battle this time with the postseason nearing, to draw rave reviews.
