Must Bet 2022 WNBA Week 12 Matches: Six Great Games for the Week

There are three weeks left in the WNBA season and there is still a battle at the top for playoff seeding and six teams within three games of one another who are battling for the final three playoff spots. The new WNBA Playoff format doing away with conferences and going for the best overall win percentage for the top eight is a new quirk that has everyone in competition.

Nearly each game this week has playoff implications as a result with only the Indiana Fever (5-25) essentially out – though not mathematically eliminated – of playoff contention.

Here are the top five WNBA games – plus a bonus – worth betting this week. Let’s get right to it so you can get all set to bet against their WNBA Odds.

Top 2022 WNBA Games Worth Betting This Week (July 26th – 31st)

Las Vegas Aces at Chicago Sky, Tuesday

Both the Aces and Sky went 9-1 in the Commissioner’s Cup and on Tuesday they will play for the Cup. There is a prize pool of $500,000 to split among the winning players with another $165,000 being donated to charity.

The Aces (20-8) have the best offense in the league while the Sky (21-7) are second offensively and fourth defensively. They also are the top two teams in the league and this is a pivotal matchup in battling for home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

Seattle Storm at Connecticut Sun, Thursday

The Sun (19-9) are top three on offense and defense and get the benefit of being at home for another game with playoff implications. The Storm (18-10) added Tina Charles, which bolsters their frontcourt alongside Breanna Stewart, and will be a needed addition against the top rebounding team in the league.

It’s also the final time Sue Bird, the greatest player of all-time, will play in Connecticut, one of the great areas for supporting women’s basketball. That is, of course, if they don’t mean in the postseason.

Los Angeles Sparks at Phoenix Mercury, Thursday

A half-game separates the Sparks and Mercury entering the week, though both would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. But instead they’ll be battling it out through Aug. 14 to see if they can sneak in.

It’s a strength versus strength battle with the Mercury’s guards and Sparks’ forwards looking to have dominant performances while attacking their opponents’ weaknesses to secure the win.

Chicago Sky at Connecticut Sun, Sunday

This is, perhaps, a bigger game for the Sky than it is the Sun. The defending champions could not only lose the best record in the league but also could slip behind the Sun if the results fall Connecticut’s way this week. Sitting two games behind the Sky, the Sun could use this game to pull even and throw off playoff seeding. It should be a physical battle in the paint.

Phoenix Mercury at New York Liberty, Sunday

Every time Sabrina Ionescu steps on the court, she tends to do something amazing. That’s what has the New York Liberty (10-17) in the playoff hunt. Now they get game against a team they’re chasing in the Mercury (12-16), who has to travel from the desert and has a short amount of time to get acclimated.

Bonus: Las Vegas Aces at Indiana Fever, Sunday

These two teams meet Friday night so one of the league’s best in the Aces will have another opportunity to chase the Sky down for the top overall seed, if not surpass them with a lighter strength of schedule this week. The information from Friday’s matchup will also be valuable in betting this game. The only wrinkle that could be thrown in is if the Aces decide to rest some players and effect the spread in the second game.
