Dillingham is one of the youngest head coaches in College Football. He was a great recruiter and offensive coordinator at several big programs; now, he is trying to convert that to the head coaching rankings.
It will be interesting to see who gets the nod as the quarterback of the Sun Devils. Emory Jones left for Cincinnati, but the Sun Devils will get a battle between Trenton Bourguet, Drew Pyne, and Jaden Rashada.
On the receiving side, Elijah Badger is back, and Jaylin Conyers has one of the best upsides in all of the conference. At the running back position, Arizona State is excited about Cameron Skattebo from Sacramento State. He rushed for nearly 1,400 yards a season again with seven touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Sun Devils will need to contribute as well. Brian Ward will emphasize third down and getting off the field. Clayton Smith has transferred in, and B.J. Green is back with the Sun Devils. Anthoine Cooper is also back for the Sun Devils, and Michigan State transfer Dashaun Mallory should help.
Arizona State returns a secondary that is solid but will have to be even better against several pass-happy offensive teams.
