Eagles Struggling to Throw Football

The Boston College Eagles need to be able to throw the football more consistently. In the two games this season, the Eagles are averaging just over 184 yards per game in the air. That ranks outside the Top 100 in College Football. Thomas Castellanos is the quarterback and has been a better rusher than he has a passer.

Castellanos averages nearly 70 yards per game on the ground and has a touchdown. When they do pass the ball, Jaden Williams appears to be the top target. Williams has 105 yards on four receptions and a score this season. 

The Eagles are one of six teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference that comes into the game with a 1-1 record. There are seven unbeaten teams, and Virginia has yet to win a game this season.

The Eagles will play three of their next four games on the road following this one. Boston College is at Louisville before hosting Virginia. Following that, the Eagles go on the road to Army and Georgia Tech.

Florida State Looks to Keep Rolling

Florida State has 303 yards in the air and 220 via the run. Keon Coleman, who came over from Michigan State, leads the team with four touchdowns.

Quarterback Jordan Travis has six touchdowns so far via the passing game. Travis has made a name and has entered the discussion for the Heisman. His running back, Trey Benson, continues to pound out yards, with 63 per game and three scores.
