Crimson Tide Seeking Offense

The Alabama Crimson Tide are seeking offense and seeking it quickly. The Crimson Tide struggled on the offensive side of the ball in the loss to Texas, scoring just 24 points. Then, just three points at halftime at South Florida had the Crimson Tide faithful shaking their heads.

The numbers from signal caller Jalen Milroe have not been great to start the season. He has thrown for just 449 yards and five touchdowns, with two interceptions through two games that he played. While those numbers certainly aren’t terrible, they are not elite for a team wanting to win a national title.

Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner both had an opportunity against South Florida, and both struggled. The two combined for 10 of 23 for 107 yards in the game.

Isaiah Bond is the guy the Crimson Tide want to get going in the passing game. Bond has 152 yards on ten receptions and a touchdown so far this season. If they cannot get the pass game going, they need to get more out of their top running back, Roydell Williams. Williams has just one touchdown on the season.

The Crimson Tide are scoring 32.3 points per game and allowing 14.7.

Rebels Want to Push the Pace

Lane Kiffin wants his offense to keep the pace up. The pace that is fourth in the nation in scoring offense, with more than 52 points per game.

The pace that is Top 10 in passing offense, with more than 349 yards per game. The pace that has seen Jaxson Dart toss seven touchdowns in his first three games as the starting quarterback.

The Rebels also have Dart as their top rusher as well. He has ran the ball 32 times for 213 yards and two touchdowns thus far. When he passes, his top target seems to be Jordan Watkins. Watkins is just shy of 300 receiving yards on the season, on 15 receptions and a touchdown. The Rebels are one of five remaining unbeaten teams in the SEC heading into this game.

Ole Miss is starting a big stretch of games. After this game, they will welcome the LSU Tigers to town before their bye week and then a trip to Auburn after.

Rebels Pull Thrilling Upset

It is not very often a bet goes against the Alabama Crimson Tide. But this is a game that the Rebels are ready for and are going to come away with the win. The passing attack of the Rebels becomes too much for the Crimson Tide to handle. If this game goes into an offensive shoot-out, the Crimson Tide are in trouble.

Not only are we betting the Ole Miss Rebels +7, but also grabbing them +270 on the moneyline to win this game straight up on Saturday afternoon.
