NCAA Football Ole Miss Wins Total Betting Prediction for Upcoming 2022 Season

NCAA Football Ole Miss Wins Total Betting Prediction for Upcoming 2022 Season

Since Lane Kiffin arrived in Oxford, Mississippi, things have been very good for the Ole Miss football program.

Kiffin has made numerous headlines for various reasons, and he has brought a lot of national attention to the SEC school. Along with the attention has come a lot of success.

Another successful season is on the horizon in 2022. Even though the Rebels lost many key players and coaches from last year’s team, Ole Miss should still be among the top teams in the SEC.

Let’s take a look at their 2022 season so you can plan your bets against their NCAA Football Regular Season Wins Odds.

Will the Ole Miss Rebels Be Able to Overcome Some Big Losses? | College Football Betting

Projected Win Total

The oddsmakers have spoken, and the Rebels’ win total has been set at 7.5. While that doesn’t sound like very many wins for a program that has been winning 9-10 games over the past few seasons, we have to remember that the SEC is always loaded.

Season Preview

Ole Miss won 10 games for the first time in program history last season. However, numerous key pieces to that team either graduated or transferred, and two key coaches also left.

Quarterback Matt Corral and All-American defensive end Sam Williams are the two biggest losses. Ole Miss also lost the team’s top four rushers, three top receivers, and most of the linebacking corps.

While they lost a lot, Kiffin was able to do a great job of recruiting and raiding the transfer portal. The top transfer is quarterback was Jaxson Dart, who left USC when Lincoln Riley took the head coaching job there. Kiffin did a great job of getting transfers to fill the offensive voids.

Defensively, the Rebels should have a very good backfield, as 12 players return from last year’s squad. While the linebacking corps took a big hit, the Rebels were able to get some good transfers to come in and replace last year’s starters.

Ole Miss was much better defensively last season than they had been in the past, and we think they’ll be even better this season.

2022 Schedule

The Rebels will open up with four straight non-conference games, with three of those being at home. They’ll open up with Troy and Central Arkansas at home.

They’ll then head to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech. They’ll finish up the non-conference portion of their schedule when they host Tulsa at home. This should be four easy victories for Ole Miss.

The start of their SEC schedule shouldn’t be particularly strong, as they will host a good Kentucky squad, followed by a trip to Vanderbilt and then another home game with Auburn. After this stretch of games, we wouldn’t be surprised if Ole Miss was 7-0.

The final five games of their season will be one of the toughest stretches of games in the country. The Rebels will head to “Death Valley” to take on LSU. They’ll then head to College Station to take on Jimbo Fisher and his Texas A&M Aggies.

Next up, they’ll host Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. They’ll then head to Arkansas and finish up the season with Mississippi State at home.

The betting number was 7.5, and we think that Ole Miss will win at least eight games. They’ll have a hard time in their last stretch of games, but we think they can win at least one of those games.
