2022 NCAA Football Week 2 Parlay Betting Picks for the Top Weekend Games

Written by on September 7, 2022

After all the drama of the opening week of the college football season, matching that intensity in Week 2 is going to be tough. That said, this is a sport that has a history of delivering high levels of excitement and drama, so perhaps we can expect more of the same. Every week of the football season, we will be delivering picks that we hope will boost your bankroll and leave you happy when all is said and done. We try our best to cover all the bases and will close out our NCAA Football Betting picks for the week with some parlay tickets, which you can mix and match, totally ignore, or use as you wish, so let’s get to it.

NCAAF Parlay Betting Picks | 2022 College Football Week 2 Analysis

Week 2 SU Parlay – UTSA, Iowa State, Houston

With both UTSA and Army losing in Week 1, both teams are going to be desperate to get the win here. The Roadrunners are slight favorites and for good reason as they have won 6 of their last 7 road games.

We have a big rivalry game set for Week 2, with Iowa State hitting the road to face the Iowa Hawkeyes, who won but seriously underwhelmed in their opener. It would be easy to favor Iowa at home, but I am taking the Cyclones here.

Houston head into their game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders as a bit of an underdog, but I think there is some real value to be found here when you consider that the Cougars have now won 12 of their last 13 games.

Week 2 ATS Parlay – Arkansas (-8), UNC (-8), Toledo (-28 ½)

South Carolina comes into this weekend against the Arkansas Razorbacks as an underdog after going just 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games versus SEC opposition. That does not bode well against an Arkansas team that is 4-0-1 ATS in its last 5.

The Tar Heels survived an epic game in Week 1, outlasting Appalachian State in a 63-61 thriller. They proved that they can put points up on the board in a big way, and I think we can expect more of the same against Georgia State.

The Toledo Rockets opened their season with a home win and will be back in their own building this weekend versus UMASS, who look to be a bit of a mess. It’s a bit spread, but I think it’s one that the Rockets cover.

Week 2 O/U Parlay – Alabama (O61 ½), Washington State (U46 ½), Kansas (O57 ½)

We have something of a future preview this weekend, with Alabama and Texas, who will soon be in the same conference, going head-to-head. Bama looked offensively sound in Week 1, and I think we get a ton of points in this one.

Traditionally, the Wisconsin Badgers are a team built to play sound defensive football. They have a tough one this weekend with Washington State their next opponent, and I think we will see a tight defensive battle.

Kansas strolled to victory in their opening game of the season, while the West Virginia Mountaineers came up short in a high-scoring affair in their opener. Two good offenses might mean some big numbers, so let’s go with the OVER.

NCAAF 2021 Season Week 2 Parlay Betting Picks & Predictions

Previous Betting News

For the teams that won their opening game of the college football season, there is not time to rest on those laurels, as Week 2 will be here before you know it. Given what went down in the opening weekend of the season, we can probably already predict that the race for the top 4 spots is going to be a close one. Teams that we really liked heading into the season struggled a little to get things rolling, but we also know that some teams take a little longer than others to get warmed up. With that being said, it is time to look ahead to Week 2 and our parlay picks. As always, we are splitting them into SU, ATS, and O/U picks, but you guys can do it any way you wish. Let’s get right to the NCAAF Betting picks.

2021 Parlay Picks for Week 2 | College Football Betting

NCAAF Week 2 SU Parlay – Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Iowa

Both Pittsburgh and Tennessee ran out to convincing wind in Week 1, but those were both victories that were expected. Both teams have also gone 16-4 SU in their last 20 games, but the Vols are just 2-7 SU overall in their last 9. Slight edge to Pittsburgh.

Rutgers has not done much in the way of winning over the past few seasons, but they got off to a fantastic start in Week 1, scoring 61 points in a lopsided win over UMASS. They have won 6 of the last 8 meetings against Syracuse and should maintain that winning record.

Iowa went into last week’s game against Indiana as an underdog and laid down a beating. They will be the underdog again this weekend against an Iowa State team that underwhelmed in Week 1. I am going with Iowa for back-to-back upsets.

NCAAF Week 2 ATS Parlay – Minnesota (-19 ½), Texas A&M (-17), Miami (-8)

While Minnesota may have lost their opening game of the season, they put up a very good fight against a highly ranked Ohio State football team. I think they bounce back in a big way in Week 2 against a Redbirds team that did not look very good at all in Week 1.

There are a lot of people looking at the Aggies as a dark horse team this season. They had zero issues with Kent in their opener and should deliver more of the same on the road in Colorado. They have not had a ton of success ATS versus the Buffaloes, but I think that changes this weekend.

One of the good things about how quickly games comes around is that teams don’t have a lot of time to linger on a poor performance. Miami was destroyed by Alabama, but I think they bounce back with a win and cover against Appalachian State in Week 2.

NCAAF Week 2 O/U Parlay – Florida (O58), Air Force (U40 ½), Texas (O57)

There is an expectation that the Florida Gators might take a step back this season, especially on the offensive side of the football. Their opening game of the season went under the point total, but 6 of their last 7 versus AAC opponents have gone OVER.

With the meeting between Air Force and Navy, it’s always a good idea to look at the past history when making a pick. This is a meeting that has very much trended UNDER, with 12 of the last 17 games between these two going that route.

Texas overcame a tricky Week 1 matchup by downing ULL 38-18. This week’s game versus Arkansas is another tough one, as well as being a game that might delivers some offense. Texas has seen 5 of their last 6 road games go OVER, so let’s stick with that trend.

Previous Betting News

No question that the biggest upset of Week 1 was little Georgia State stunning Tennessee 38-30 on Saturday. The Panthers were 25-point underdogs, had never beaten a Power 5 team since launching the program in 2010 and were 2-10 last year, losing its final seven. Can’t say we saw that coming. Here are two games we would parlay together during the Week 2 of the NCAA Football Betting action – both from the Pac-12 and both Saturday.

2019 College Football Week 2 Parlay Picks

California at No. 13 Washington

When: Saturday, September 7, 10:30 PM ET
TV: Fox Sports 1
College Football Week 2 Odds: Washington -14

California opened with a 27-13 win over UC Davis. Things didn’t start well for the Bears. Ashtyn Davis fumbled away the opening kickoff and quarterback Chase Garbers began the game 3-for-9 for 16 yards and an interception. The Bears’ heralded defense yielded 107 yards of offense in the first quarter, when the Bears fell behind 10-0.

However, Garbers completed six of his next seven passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. Cal’s defense allowed just 157 yards through the final three quarters. And the Bears outscored the Aggies 27-3 the rest of the way. In his first career start, sophomore tailback Christopher Brown Jr. rushed for 197 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries, becoming the first Cal running back to rush for at least 100 yards in his initial start since Jahvid Best amassed 111 yards in 2009. Garbers finished the day completing 16 of 28 passes for 238 yards and two touchdown passes. He also threw three passes of 30 or more yards. He had five in 2018.

Washington beat Eastern Washington 47-14. Huskies QB Jacob Eason threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns in his first game in nearly two years – he transferred from Georgia and sat out last year. Eason completed 27 of 36 passes and led Washington on touchdown drives on four of its first five possessions. Eason’s 349 passing yards were the most by a Husky in their first career start. He is third Husky to pass for over 300 yards in their UW starting debut, joining Brock Huard (311 vs. Arizona, Sept. 21, 1996, W 31-17) and Taylor Barton (316 at UCLA, Oct. 13, 2001, L 35-13). Eason’s four touchdown passes tied for seventh most in school history (done 22 other times). Richard Newton scored from 23 yards out on his first collegiate carry. He ended up with 91 yards on 12 carries in the Husky debut.

The Huskies are 39-0 when scoring 31 or more points in the Chris Petersen era. The Huskies have tallied 40 or more points during the Petersen era 25 times. The Huskies’ 15-game home win streak is the fourth longest in the nation. Alabama has the longest home win streak with 26 games, followed by Clemson and UCF (16).

Last year, Cal upset No. 15 Washington 12-10 in a defensive slugfest. Peyton Henry’s 26-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter pulled Washington to 12-10, but California milked the final 4:51 off the clock to secure the win.

No. 25 Stanford at USC

When: Saturday, September 7, 10:30 PM ET
TV: ESPN
College Football Week 2 Odds: USC -3.5

There was no opening line here because USC has lost starting quarterback JT Daniels to a season-ending injury and Stanford might be without its QB as well. Daniels tore the ACL and meniscus in his right knee during Saturday’s 31-23 win against Fresno State. Daniels will undergo surgery in the next few weeks, Helton said, and will be eligible to use the season as a redshirt year.

True freshman Kedon Slovis, who went 6-of-8 for 57 yards with an interception in relief against Fresno State, will start against No. 25 Stanford in the Pac-12 opener for both teams. Slovis beat out redshirt junior Matt Fink and redshirt sophomore Jack Sears to win the No. 2 job during training camp. Slovis signed with the Trojans as a 247Sports Composite three-star recruit and the No. 26 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2019 out of Scottsdale (Az.) Desert Mountain. He received a pro comparison to Kirk Cousins when evaluated as a high-school prospect.

Vavae Malepeai posted a career-high 134 rushing yards plus a TD, while Stephen Carr scored two touchdowns to go along with 99 yards from scrimmage. The Trojans lost the turnover battle because they gave the ball away 4 times (2 fumbles and 2 interceptions), but they did force 3 takeaways, addressing a major problem from last season.

This the sixth consecutive year that USC begins league play versus the Cardinal, and the seventh time in 8 years. Stanford is USC’s oldest rival, dating to 1905. USC has won just 25% of its past dozen games versus the Cardinal, but has captured 2 of the past 3 in L.A.

Stanford starting QB KJ Costello did not return after taking a hit to the head near the end of the first half of the Cardinal’s 17-7 win against Northwestern. The injury occurred on a play during which Costello went into a sliding motion and received a forearm to the head from Northwestern defensive lineman Earnest Brown. It did not draw a penalty for targeting. With Costello sidelined in the second half, Stanford did not score any points on offense. Highly touted backup Davis Mills completed 7 of 14 passes for 81 yards.

Last year, Stanford beat USC 17-3. The Cardinal sacked Daniels four times and forced three turnovers. Bryce Love rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown – he’s now in the NFL.

2019 College Football Week 2 Parlay Picks

Definitely bet the under in Stanford/USC regardless of number with both QBs maybe out and parlay that with Washington ATS.

2019 College Football Week 2 Odds, Overview & Picks

Previous Betting News

It was about the chalkiest Week 1 in college football as possible as the only ranked team to lose was No. 11 Oregon and the Ducks were underdogs against No. 16 Auburn. Will we see any shockers in Week 2? Here’s a look at two intriguing matchups and we will have many individual NCAA Football Betting previews here at Mybookie.

2019 College Football Week 2 Odds, Overview & Picks

No. 12 Texas A&M at No. 1 Clemson

When: Saturday, 3:30 PM ET (ABC)
College Football Week 2 Odds: Clemson -18.5

One of the best matchups of Week 2 and probably the only realistic shot that Clemson has to lose in the 2019 regular season with such an easy schedule remaining. These teams played a great game in Week 2 last year in College Station with the Tigers escaping 28-26. Kelly Bryant threw for 205 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score. Current Tigers star QB Trevor Lawrence wasn’t even the starter yet. He did play, though, going was 5 of 9 for 93 yards with a 64-yard touchdown pass to Diondre Overton that made it 14-3 early in the second quarter.

Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond was great in the second half, throwing for three touchdowns, with a 14-yard pass to Kendrick Rogers cutting the lead to 28-26 with 46 seconds left. But his big performance came up just short when the 2-point conversion attempt was intercepted in the end zone.

Clemson opened this season with a 52-14 win over Georgia Tech. Travis Etienne had a career-high 205 rushing yards. Clemson rushed for 411 yards, the most in a season-opener since 1957 and the most allowed by Georgia Tech since 1975. The Tigers extended their winning streak to 16 games, which dates back to the start of the 2018 season.

Lawrence completed 13-23 passes for 168 yards and one touchdown. Tee Higgins finished with four catches for 98 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown from Lawrence with 4:34 to go in the first half to put Clemson ahead 28-0. Higgins upped his touchdown streak to five-straight games. e Clemson defense forced four turnovers, with Tanner Muse and Denzel Johnson recording interceptions. The four turnovers were the most the Tigers forced since 2015 against Notre Dame. Isaiah Simmons led the defense with 10 tackles.

A&M opened with a 41-7 win over Texas State. Texas A&M’s four interceptions were the most in a game for the Aggies since 2006, (also four vs. Texas). Mond threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score in just more than three quarters.

Mond, who threw for 194 yards, had touchdown passes of 21 and 3 yards and ran for another score in the first two quarters as Texas A&M raced to a 28-0 halftime lead. Quartney Davis had 85 yards receiving and a touchdown and Jhamon Ausbon added a touchdown catch. First-year starter Jashaun Corbin had 103 yards rushing with a touchdown reception and a TD run.

The Aggies racked up 400-plus yards of total offense for the sixth consecutive game and the 11th time in the Jimbo Fisher era (14 games). Texas A&M is currently on a five-game win streak, the longest active streak in the SEC. After recording just three interceptions in the first 10 games of the Jimbo Fisher era, the Aggies have eight INTs over the last four games.

Cincinnati at No. 5 Ohio State

When: Saturday, noon ET (ABC)
College Football Week 2 Odds: OSU -17

Ohio State has won its past 41 games vs. in-state teams, last losing way back in 1921. The Buckeyes rolled to a 45-21 win over Florida Atlantic to open the year. Justin Fields, a sophomore transfer quarterback from Georgia, threw for four touchdowns and ran for another score in his Ohio State debut. He completed 18-of-25 passes for 234 yards.

The Buckeyes recorded 12 tackles-for-loss (-64) and four sacks resulting in losses of 43 yards. The Owls managed 228 total yards of offense while the Buckeyes gained 469. J.K. Dobbins ran for 91 yards on 21 carries with one score to lead the Buckeyes on the ground. The win was the fourth for Ryan Day, head coach of the Buckeyes, who posted a 3-0 record a year ago as interim head coach. Since 1922, Ohio State is 444-112-20 all time in Ohio Stadium.

Cincinnati knocked off UCLA 24-14 in Week 1. Junior running back Michael Warren II scored one touchdown on the ground and caught one of sophomore quarterback Desmond Ridder’s two scoring passes. Warren finished with 92 yards on 26 carries while Ridder was going 18-for-26 for 242 yards.

The Bearcats never trailed after Ridder and tight end Josiah Deguara teamed up on a 16-yard scoring pass following Hicks’ recovery of a Thompson-Robinson fumble at Cincinnati’s 17-yard line on UCLA’s first possession of the season.

Ohio State and Cincinnati meet for the fifth time this century. Ohio State and Cincinnati last met during the 2014 season with the Buckeyes prevailing in an entertaining and hard-fought game, 50-28. Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell spent 21 seasons at Ohio State: five as a player (1992-96) and 16 as a coach, including on staff for the 2002 and 2014 national championship seasons. The Buckeyes are 14-2 in the series and have won 11 straight in it dating back to a 29-0 win in 1900. Cincinnati’s two wins came in 1896 and 1897, respectively.

2019 College Football Week 2 Over/Under Betting Picks

Wagering in the first couple of weeks of the college football season is never an easy task, as we don’t really know enough about each team to make great selections. That said, there is still plenty of data to fall back on, with the opening week of the year often giving us some clues as to what to expect from a team. There are those who are going to be offensively solid, while others are going to lean more heavily on defense.

All of that comes into play when looking at the point totals for the week, as it helps us pick out games where the OVER or UNDER looks like a very good NCAA Football Bet. Let’s take a look at 4 games that might well fit the O/U bill in Week 2.

2019 College Football Week 2 Over/Under Picks

Syracuse Orange vs Maryland Terrapins (OVER 57)

Given the fact that both of these teams won in Week 1 without giving up a single point, you might imagine that we are in for a low-scoring affair here. Sure, both defenses were solid, but they were also both going up against much lesser competition.

There are some definite trends with both teams that point me towards the OVER in this one. Week 2 has been a big one for the Orange in terms of the O/U, as they have seen 5 of their last 6 games go OVER in the second week of the season. Similarly, the OVER tends to hit when Maryland faces teams from the ACC, with 4 of the last 5 going that route.

Old Dominion Monarchs vs Virginia Tech Hokies (OVER 56 ½)

This is another game where there is a lot to like in terms of the OVER play, as both of these teams have made a habit of going that route in their recent games. Old Dominion saw their opening week total fall under, but that was a bit of a rare event, as they have now seen 8 of their last 11 outings go OVER the point total.

Overall, the Hokies have seen 5 of their last 6 games go OVER, including their season opener last weekend. That trend carries over to home games for Virginia Tech, with 5 of the last 7 at home going OVER.

Richmond Spiders vs Boston College Eagles (UNDER 57)

This is a game that should be considered a somewhat straightforward win for the Boston College Eagles, who saw their season open with a 35-28 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies.

I am looking for the Eagles to hit around the same number of points in this one, but I also like them to be a little stouter defensively against a much lesser team. The UNDER has hit in 4 of the last 6 games for Boston College, while it has also been the UNDER in 7 of their last 9 games played in Week 2 of the season.

Illinois Fighting Illini vs Connecticut Huskies (UNDER 59 ½)

Both of these teams saw their season get off to a winning start in Week 1, with both of their games falling UNDER the point total. While Illinois have seen 5 of their last 7 go the opposite direction, September seems to be the month where things tend to be a little tighter for them.

During the month of September, the Fighting Illini has seen 4 of their last 5 go UNDER. It is much the same story for UConn in Week 2 games, with 7 of their last 9 going the way of the UNDER.

Top College Football Parlay Picks For Week 2 (September 9th to 10th)

The second week of the new college football season is here. Get yourself prepped up for Week 2‘s odds and betting lines with the following top NCAA football parlay picks of the week.

Top College Football Parlay Picks For Week 2 (September 9th to 10th)

The Week 2 College Football Parlay Picks

Louisville (-14.5) at Syracuse
TCU (-7.5) vs. Arkansas
Tennessee (-10) vs. Virginia Tech

Louisville Cardinals at Syracuse Orange, Friday, September 9, 8:00 PM ET

NCAAF Pick: Louisville (-14.5)

Utterly Dominant! That’s the kind of performance Louisville Cardinals’ star quarterback Lamar Jackson had against Charlotte in Week 1, as he totaled 405 yards and accounted for a school-record eight touchdowns (six passing, two rushing) in just one half to lead the Cardinals to a 70-14 victory. Syracuse was equally impressive in Week 1, recording a 33-7 victory Colgate. But even after such a performance, it’s hard to trust that the Orange will be able to keep up with the Cardinals on Friday. I mean, Jackson didn’t play against Syracuse when the two teams met last season, but Louisville still won 41-17, thanks to a strong show from backup QB Kyle Bolin, who threw for 363 yards and three touchdowns. With Jackson being a better passer than Bolin and a proven runner, we could be in for an even bigger blowout. Not to forget, Louisville has gone 5-1 SU and 5-1 ATS in its last six overall meetings against Syracuse. So, yeah, we believe that Jackson and Louisville warrant every hype and value as a 14.5-point favs over Syracuse.

Arkansas at TCU, Saturday, September 10, 7:00 PM ET

NCAAF Pick: TCU (-7.5)

No Trevone Boykin, No Problem. In their first game of the post-Boykin era, the Horned Frogs proved to their critics that their offense is still sufficiently loaded with talent, as TCU’s new starting QB Kenny Hill a.k.a “Kenny Trill” showed why he was a highly-regarded Texas A&M transfer by throwing for 439 yards and two TDs and rushing for two more scores in the 18-point win over the pesky Jackrabbits. The Razorbacks, meanwhile, escaped with a one-point win over Louisiana Tech, a home game for Arkansas that could have easily ended in an upset. The most glaring issue in Arkansas’ game was the lack of a running game, as the Backs totaled just 79 rushing yards—way lower than their 116.5 rushing YPG from last season. Having an inexperienced quarterback in Austin Allen didn’t help Arkansas’ cause, either. Now, I don’t expect TCU to fully have its defensive act together by Week 2, meaning Arkansas will be good for some decent points on the board. Even so, with Hill looking as good as ever, and a strong returning group of freshmen contributors from last season in KaVontae Turpin, Jarrison Stewart and Jaelan Austin to support him; you can be sure that TCU will be running up the score here for a big win plus cover. Mind you, the Horned Frogs are 12-3 ATS at home since the start of the 2014 season.

Virginia Tech at Tennessee, Saturday, September 10, 8:00 PM ET

NCAAF Pick: Tennessee (-10)

The Vols were wildly unimpressive in their OT win over Appalachian State and that’s a big reason why this line is considerably low. The Hokies weren’t any better, either, as they failed to cover the spread as 32-point home favorites against Liberty, as they won 36-13. But thing is, Tennessee is still a solid team and the poor performance against App. State was largely based on them underestimating their opponents, something we are certain they won’t be doing against Virginia Tech. With Joshua Dobbs and Jalen Hurd taking things seriously and Tennessee’s defense getting its act together, the Vols should be good for the win and spread. FYI, Virginia Tech has dropped four of its last five SU and ATS against the SEC.
