eSports Betting Tips & Predictions – LEC 2021 Spring – Week 3, Day 1

Schalke 04 Vs Rogue – Friday, February 5 – 18:00 CET

Schalke 04 have managed to achieve the unthinkable on Saturday when they defeated G2 Esports, which effectively ended the reigning LEC champions’ 18-0 dream. That marked S04’s third win of the season and their second in a row after they have already bested SK Gaming on Friday.

With G2 dropping the ball, Rogue are now the only undefeated European LoL team, which looks good on paper, but it’s not like this team is invincible. That was most obvious in their game against Misfits Gaming on Friday, where Rogue were just minutes away from suffering a devastating defeat, but still somehow managed to claw their way to a W, largely thanks to Misfits’ mistakes.

More times than not Rogue should win this bout, however, they’re not worth a bet at this price. Schalke have shown they can go head-to-head with the best teams in the league last week and as long as they can keep playing with the same fire, they should at least keep this match close.

Prediction: Schalke 04 +7.5 kills

Prediction: Schalke to win

Misfits Gaming Vs Excel -Friday, February 5 – 19:00 CET

Misfits Gaming needed only five games to prove two things – they are much stronger than how it seemed before the season began and that they’re one of the most volatile, up-and-down teams in the league. This team has had days where we would have no issues ranking them amongst top-four in the league, but then there were also days where Misfits looked like a complete mess.

Their next opponents, Excel, are the complete opposite. They might lack the individual quality, but this is arguably one of the most stable and composed teams in the league. In other words, we know what to expect from them – mediocrity.

The bookmakers have priced Misfits as the favorites for this match, which we don’t have a problem with and would even go so far to say that if Misfits show up, they should be priced at much shorter odds. That said, Misfits are a 50/50 team, so we have to side with Excel who are priced at even money on most bookmakers.

Prediction: Excel Esports to win

G2 Esports Vs Team Vitality – Friday, February 5 – 20:00 CET

G2 Esports suffered their first defeat of the season last week, when they got stomped by Schalke 04. It was a rather shocking loss on paper, but anyone who has been watching G2 this split can agree they were bound to lose a game sooner or later.

G2 are objectively the most stacked team Europe has ever seen, but they look very unconvincing, to say the least. Some of that might have to with the fact that they have lost their in-game leader Luka “Perkz” Perković during the off-season, so perhaps they deserve some slack.

Vitality are a team not many people believe in and their 1-4 record makes it hard to be overly optimistic about them. That said, they have been playing significantly better than what their record suggests, but were somewhat unlucky in some of their losses.

There is no denying G2 are a significantly stronger team than Vitality, but until they start showing some sort of stability, we will continue to believe they can lose any match. Vitality to keep this match within 10 kills is a smart bet to take at a good price.

Prediction: Team Vitality +10.5 kills
