2023 LCK Summer Playoffs Odds: Round 1 #4 Dplus KIA vs #5 T1

2023 LCK Summer Playoffs Odds: Round 1 #4 Dplus KIA vs #5 T1

LCK’s summer playoffs are about to begin, with the winner qualifying for Worlds. Korea is always among the most exciting divisions to watch, with MSI attendees T1 finishing in fifth place domestically this summer.

While the format is double elimination, both teams will want to get off to a strong start to increase their odds of securing a direct berth into Worlds. The last time these two teams met, DPlus KIA pulled off a sweep but actually had a gold deficit in Game 1, so anything can happen in this match.

MyBookie has the LoL betting odds as we look at Dplus KIA vs T1, who will meet in the Round 1 of the 2023 LCK Summer Playoffs.

Top Lane

Canna of Dplus KIA got the better of this matchup last time around, with a 12/7/18 scoreline across two Renekton games. With the Shuriman Crocodile sitting at the top of the meta, it remains to be seen if he’ll be as successful this time around.

Zeus of T1 could not defeat Canna the last time these two met, with neither Rumble nor Ornn proving useful. He has rebounded in the week since, with a 2-0 against KDF on the back of his Aatrox, along with respectable performances on K’Sante and Maokai.

Jungle

The biggest gap we saw the last time these two teams met was in the jungle. Canyon of Dplus had a monstrous performance, with a 6.4 KDA and a 4/5/28 scoreline. He was dominant on Lee Sin and Sejuani and has continued to maintain meta darlings Vi and Maokai in the weeks since. Outside of Kanavi in China, Canyon has a legitimate argument as the world’s best jungler.

It may be too quick to count out Oner entirely, however. While his 11/10/14 scoreline failed to turn heads the last time these two met, he’s still one of the most stable junglers in Korea. He’s done a wonderful job of establishing Maokai as a legitimate threat in recent weeks, with three wins in his last five games.

Mid Lane

Showmaker of Dplus vs. Faker of T1 is one of the most consistently exciting matchups in Korea. However, we were deprived of that matchup the last time these two met due to Faker’s injury. As such, Showmaker absolutely dominated Poby, with a clean 8/5/16 scoreline on Neeko and Yone.

Thankfully, it appears Faker is all ready to go for this matchup. If so, the game’s most storied player has a lot of catching up to do. Still, if he can just be half of his normal self, it should be much better than Poby’s poor 4/9/16 scoreline.

Bot Lane

Deft and Bible were the stars of the last matchup, with Deft posting an insane 10.5 KDA and 10.3 CS per minute. A large part of that was due to the space provided by Showmaker’s dominance, however.

Gumayusi and Keria did out-CS Def in the last matchup, owing to the higher net worth in Game 1, but will need to be on their A-Game to stop DPlus.
