Top Call of Duty Matches to Bet On: CDL 2023 Major 1 Qualifier Betting Analysis

MyBookie brings you free Call of Duty Betting predictions for two Call of Duty League (CDL) Major 1 Qualifier matches. Today, we take a look at Seattle Surge vs. London Royal Ravens and New York Subliners vs. Los Angeles Guerrillas.

CDL 2023 Major 1 Qualifier Predictions & Betting Analysis

Seattle Surge vs London Royal Ravens

Seattle Surge lost both of their games in the opening week of CDL Major 1 Qualifier, against Los Angeles Guerrillas (2-3) and Boston Breach (1-3). That’s definitely not the best way to start the season, but they have shown some promise in their performances.

On the other side, London Royal Ravens are 2-0, with wins against New York Subliners (3-0) and Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-2). This looks better on paper, but knowing how weak the Subliners and Los Angeles Guerrillas are, their 2-0 record should be taken with a grain of salt.

According to the esports betting sites, Seattle Surge are the favorite for this match, which makes a lot of sense. Despite going 0-2, this is a very talented roster that just happened to have a bad week. Moreover, they didn’t disappoint with their performances even in the losses – whereas London Royal Ravens haven’t impressed win their wins.

The raw talent on Seattle Surge alone is enough for us to believe that they can take down London Royal Ravens, who seem flawed and might be a bit overrated heading into the final week. They looked shaky last week, and had London Royal Ravens faced tougher teams, they for sure wouldn’t be 2-0.

There is a world where this turns into a very close game, but at the end of the day, we have to take Seattle Surge to bounce back and secure their first win of the season.

Prediction: Seattle Surge to win

New York Subliners vs Los Angeles Guerrillas

New York Subliners and Los Angeles Guerrillas might be two of the weakest teams in the CDL – perhaps more so the former. The Subliners enter the second week of play with a 0-2 record, with defeats against Royal Ravens (0-3) and 1-3 vs. Toronto Ultra (1-3). They took a map from Ultra, but even in that map, the Subliners didn’t look good.

It’s not shocking to see New York Subliners struggle, considering this is a completely new roster without veteran leadership. So while the Subliners might improve as the season goes on, they are very shaky heading into this week.

The Los Angeles Guerrillas won their opening series against Seattle Surge (3-2) but then lost against Royal Ravens (2-3), which isn’t the best way to start the year. But with a win and a closely-fought loss in their pocket, the Guerrillas have at least shown something.

Admittedly, their win against the Surge was a bit of a fluke, and they weren’t too convincing against London Royal Ravens either. On a more positive note, while Guerrillas lack raw talent, they seem to have solid teamwork, which is in complete contrast to the New York Subliners.

The betting odds suggest that this could be a close game, but we don’t agree. There’s a world where the New York Subliners wake up and show what they’re capable of, but after their display in the first week, it’s tough to trust them.

Prediction: Los Angeles Guerrillas to win
